It is absolutely true in Cambodia. I have been to the range and shot a DP28, a PKM, and an AK. I have pictures. There were grenades and RPGs along with a pretty decent wall of rifles and LMGs. The explosives were old ass dirty Russian gear and I like my limbs. I looked at them and declined. They offered me a chicken to shoot the long guns at. He said that they give the remain of the chicken to the villagers, but I don't know what's left after 90 rounds of 7.62R. I declined and shot paper. The range is at a military/police range, but they were next door and the tourist part is run by what appears to be a local company as the guys had company polo shirts on. There was an outdoor and a small indoor range. I shot inside in the shade because it was hot as hell out. I spend a few hundred bucks on probably 500 rounds that went quickly. What completely sucked balls is when we got back in the tuk and were headed out. There was a gate that we just breezed by on the way in. Well on the way out, you are expected to kind of bride your way by. I asked the driver how much and he said he didn't know. I was a little worried but gave the guards a 10 and they seemed happy enough and let us by, so it worked out.
