Something that can be concealed easily so I don't look like a combatant if I'm on foot.
Something that can be used effectively from inside a vehicle if that is the case. Something with subsonic suppressed capabilities. 300 Blackout is obvious for shooting without attracting attention. Sandman S Aimpoint with magnifier Probably a Sig Rattler but might go with a ~7" SBR |

I’m too old to tango. Lugging around a 30lb rifle sucks….but firefights without air support nor artillery does not sound fun. |

18" 6.5 Grendel 1-10 x 24. Ammo would become an issue but 5.56 would as well, so ak rail with 3x flip magnifier and red dot would be in my pack.

Sig Virtus in 5.56 with the 11.5” barrel and an Eotech exps.The Virtus easily folds and stores in a backpack and is combat effective out to 300 yards.

My 16" LWRCI AR15 with 1x8 Nightforce ATACR, can, and a few extra 2032 batteries. Easy choice.
Light enough, reaches out far enough, gets in close enough, can carry enough rounds, and brings down anything within the ao for food. |
