I don't eat candy, but when I do it is usually Reese's of some sort or York peppermint patties.

Reese is not a bar its a cup but it would be my first choice. Next would be snickers since it is like a meal.

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: By the grace of God, I’m an American and I eat American chocolate. You also partake in freedom fries, I imagine PS: french fries are actually Belgian too...you're welcome! Actually, I only eat french fries as a last resort. Onion rings, followed by baked potato are my order of preference. Hush puppies with seafood. As an aside, I’ve never eaten a Belgian waffle in my life, and I don’t see that circumstance changing anytime soon. If I can’t get biscuits and sausage gravy, or bacon, eggs, and grits, it’s buttermilk pancakes and maple syrup for me. |

Mars bar was the best, but I haven't seen them since I was a kid.

I'm not much of a chocolate fan. I buy my hubby Mounds bars from the Brit section of our Publix.

I am not one who likes to think things in Europe are better than in the US. So not sure grocery store candy bars are better there, however the most amazing chocolate I have ever had was sent from a customer in Holland. Since I eat Keto these days I have not had a candy bar in 2 years, but for that Holland specialty chocolate, I would find a Keto safe daily limit

Toblerone
Cadbury (fruit & nut) Lindt The best I had was when I was flying out of Switzerland, no clue to the brand, but it was fantastic. Most of the common US brands I would consider closer to candy bars than chocolate bars. Terry's Dark Chocolate Orange Ball seems to work well; but it is round, not a bar. |

View Quote I came to post this as well as far as American candy bars go. Hell, it’s the best Reese’s product they make. You get the most peanut butter to chocolate ratio out of any of their selections. |

The list clearly places the bars in numerical order. Why is there a debate as to which is best? It’s labeled...

Mass American chocolate is mediocre at best. When I was in Europe and still ate candy I tried a lot of their candy bars and the were pretty much all better than ours. I think the reason was the primary ingredient. There it was milk, here its sugar. And in the US they like to substitute oils for cocoa butter. Glad I quit eating that tripe.
I was ordering Cadbury milk bars from England for a while after I got back. |

Last year I spend some time in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Alps, on a US post. I won’t put straight mayo on fries, but I don’t like ketchup on them either. I do like them with cocktail sauce which is basically ketchup with a good shot of horseradish, a little lemon juice, and a dash of Worcestershire. Failing that that, I just over salt them. I got introduced to biscuits and gravy at a tender age eating Saturday breakfast with my father and his two friends at the local mom-and-pop. But I really hit my stride while dating a guy in the Air Force. The O’Club did an occasional - once a month, maybe -breakfast brunch with that on the menu. He only took me about every six months because it was that long before he recovered from the embarrassment of me hogging down the B&G. I was 5’6” and 125 - 130 tops - but I’d flat put that stuff away. He used to accuse me of having a hollow leg. I mean I was legendary. |

Quoted: Bingo. American chocolate is nasty garbage. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Agreed. You have to get small mom and pop stuff for American chocolate to be good. IMO the best Amercian chocolate is from See's or Sydney Bogg. |

Fuck you snobby elitist twat waffles, Hershey's cookies and cream is divine.

Quoted: Easily the best chocolate I've ever had, and I've had stuff from all over the world. I love Milka, Ritter Sport Alpine, and Lindt chocolate too. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41OSTlWdvOL.jpg View Quote That looked interesting, so I looked it up. $15/bar. $73 for a six pack. I do have to admit though, that I love Goldberg's Peanut Chews.

Its almost as if the OP would have been better off with an actual poll....

Aldi has great European chocolates. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/98/ed/ab/98edab9278f0fa9495f4cb8a3b44fa0c.jpg Everything in the OP's list is waxy shit, IMHO. View Quote I just tried one yesterday on a whim! I went back to ALDI today and bought another. IIRC it was $2.25. |
