I don't really give a fuck but it's kinda funny to see people trying to rationalize this as anything but Nazi-romanticism. They chose the SS-runes because they look cool and the SS was elite, just like Scout Snipers.

You know, like when someone posts non-Nazi pop culture usage of the SS runes you declare that they're somehow comparing the United States marine Corps to a rock group.
Fuck people please read what is in red before you post accusing me of something I didn't say. Are all the other pictures insinuating that these Marines are in KISS? I am talking about the symbol not the Marines. I was not a Nazi when I was in and I don't believe these guys are either, nor have I ever said that. |

I was a Marine and I am calling it thus...I get what they were after but it was fucking stupid. I wonder what the surviving marines who put Nazis in the ground think about our toops reveling around that symbol. 6th Marines occupied Iceland and of course served in ships' detachments but you'll otherwise look pretty hard to find Marines that fought Nazis.
