It balances well. I thought it was a dumb idea at first, but once I tried it, it made sense. After 20 years with a 19(gen 2), I got my dept. to swap me into a 17(gen3). The 19 grip was 1/8" or 1/4" too short. It carried great and, in many ways, I prefer it over the 17, but the 17 shoots a lot more natural for me. I would bet the new 19 with the mag swell would fit well too, but the gen 2 with the cut out was too aggravating. |

@Combat_Diver Have you seen broken barrel lugs on Glocks or have you seen failures to feed with 124 gr or 147 gr ammo? Someone says they've seen it with military issue Glocks, but I've never heard of it. |

G19s are forever out for me; I can only get about a 1/3rd of my pinky on it, regardless of generation, and even an aggressive undercut gives me only about 1/2 to 2/3 purchase. Various magwells only scrunch up my grip, and if I’m compromising the grip that much a g26 with a mag extension handles about the same and conceals easier so for me it’s 17(or 45 or similar full grip)/26 combo. If I could only have one gun I’d be ok with the 19, but since I can have more then one, the full size wields better and the sub compact conceals better |

Got a couple of the belt slide holsters previously mentioned in the thread. @Combat_Diver was great for offering these. Really good quality build and materials, and it does what it is supposed to do. The black and tan holsters are from him. He included a printout/educational flyer with them. I got these because I usually wear either a black or tan belt, and I wanted these holsters a very low pro/minimalist holster, and thanks to his postings here I found that these were built for exactly that. I also like that I can use multiple pistols with this and if I need to secure my pistol somewhere I can just flatten these out and they will likely not even be noticed. They work well with the 19X with the X300, a 45 with an XC-1, a slick 19 & 17, 1911, and Hi Power. With the bigger X300 and suppressor sights, it isn't going to win any speed draw competitions but it works. Haven't tried with a 43 yet, but I'm pretty sure it will be ok.  I also picked up one of the D Rmor versions.  I've had the two Crye Gun Clips for something like 15 years or so, right after they came out. They were sent to me, and I don't ever really use them for what they were intended for, and the tan one was never even taken out of the box until about two weeks ago. They're ok I guess if you needed something like this, but honestly for a holster I like the belt slides better. I just don't fully trust the retention relying completely on that LTD snap. If I did have to use it, I would certainly have a lanyard.  Thanks to all the contributions and people keeping the info and pics coming on the thread. I've learned a lot with this one. Even re-worked my Glock tool kit. |
