Weather Report! Well guys it's snowing in the Coast Range. Went up for a couple of hours today and it started snowing right after the tunnel on Hwy 26. (Not the Downtown tunnel.) I'm still not sure if I can get the 9th off but I will go up and check the roads and such at Brown's Camp on Saturday the 8th and report back.  Bang

Bang where you out at Timber? Looks good to me thanks for the weather report and for the one on the 8th of January. That is down right awesome of you. Do you think people will need chains to get up there? Like I said I will be there sun, rain, or snow, and for those who don't show well.... Sniff, Sniff... I smell )&@@^!

I was a little west of Timber. As to what next week will bring we'll have to wait and see. I'll keep you posted. I live in Banks so it's just a few miles up the road from my house. And my Ranger is a 4x4 but I didn't see anything today that a 2 wheel drive couldn't handle. Bang |

I think I'll be equipped with the Billbo special camper (sanford and son escapee)  Just kidding, it's not quite that bad....Hopefully it wont be too deep up there, my pickup is a 4x4 but will be a bit heavy with that 2 story house sitting on top of it. In any case it'll be a warm, dry place to have a cup of coffee and rest your arse. I wont be too adventurous though, so if anyone's in the area the day before please post a snowfall update and whether or not the roadways in browns camp are easily passable or a mess. |

Tips on keeping warm: Everybody bring lots o' wood and a can of Coleman Fuel to get it going. Bang Also a blanket, shovel, flashlight, TP, matches or lighter, some food (jerky, energy bars), and fresh drinking water for if you should get stuck somewhere. Also a bag of kitty litter for traction. |
We like fires! I will be bringing the conopy and the big propane(gen-u-ine Pro-Pane  ) heater. Just need to warm the hands evey now and then. Was inspired to bring the camper like sombody (ahheeemm...), but will likely be bringing my father so we will take his small truck instead if mine.CH |
Carpool? If my dads does not feel well enough to go I will have room for one more. I'll pass thru PDX from Hood River about 7:15-7:30am on sunday. I will post here on sat afternoon if I have an empty seat. Sorry I dont know now, but Dad has good days and bad days and they come and go. CH |

Well now, the weather is not looking too promising for the weekend. But I did get chains for my truck, (There goes my ammo money! ), and I have room for one if somebody would want to meet me in Banks. I will unless there's some good snowfall this weekend. A couple inches no problem but 8+ will be a bit tricky with a camper on top. Btw, anybody wanna pick up another 500 of wolf at the show? I can paypal ya the cost to cover it ahead of time. I dont know how to get to the show in hillsboro. Not real familiar with the area. |

I was out and about today. Picked up some wood for our fire. Roads aren't in bad shape at all in the woods right now. So unless we get a butt load on Friday or Saturday we should be all right. It would be great if everybody could bring some wood with them. That way we can all stay toasty warm. Oh and one more survival tip:  Bang |

I will be there as long as the roads are drivable. I dont have any chains for the Subaru, and I need more ammo. I guess I should buy more ammo at the gun show, and take my chances. I will bring some wood with me as long as I can make it. I will be waiting to hear Bangs report on Saturday.
