Anyone hit a show today?  Any deals?  Runner Runner have their $40 lowers there?  How was parking @ Big Town?

26-27 May

Greenville - less than an hour east of Dallas, straight east on I-30.

I won't be able to make it Saturday, small possibility Sunday.

It's the only show w/in reasonable driving distance from D/FW this weekend.  I wouldn't expect lowers cheaper than RunnerRunner.  Maybe a pre-64 levergun if I wanted to pay full retail.

+10000

The Big Town show a couple months ago sealed the deal for me. My first gun show in almost 5 years and probably my last LOL.

At least when I went to gun shows back home, I could pick up my ammo from Georgia Arms without paying shipping. Unfortunately they don't migrate this far west

Where exactly is this show in Greenville? Is it better than the shows they put on in Bonham and Sherman?

BTW: Market Hall is June 9+10.

It isn't the heat itself as much as it is that sun beating down on you. There is an enormous difference between 95 and 95 in the sun. There is absolutely a difference.

Unfortunately, @ the moment I am practicing to kill people using Department of Defense forms.  It's a very tiresome and complex martial art, but it turns out it's a very effective method of killing the second in command.

So, I'm nervous, right, because, you know, it's an admiral I'm talking to. So I say to him, "Sir, if you use an I-37 form instead of an N-1, you can save yourself from using like, a hundred G-72s". And there's this pause. No-one says anything for, like, I dunno, it felt like minutes. And finally, the admiral looks over at Landry and he goes, "Hank, not only is your boy here right, but I think we found ourselves a new bingo caller for Sunday nights"! Bingo! "I-37! N-1! G-72! Bingo!" Whoever said the admiral didn't have a sense of humor?

Enroute to Market Hall.  Half the vendors I know are at the Waco show, which isn't even the size of Mesquite.

While there were a lot of the usual vendors missing, it was a bigger show than Waco.  Didn't have much time to look around, but one vendor I know had a fantastic show.

I hit the Waco AND Dallas shows yesterday - if you two road tripped it, you could make 3 shows in one day!

I'll probably be @ Big Town.  BBQ again @ Soulman's?

Good to see you again, and meet your boy.

The show is decent.  I don't need a thing, but wandered it anyway.  Interesting to see SAW still there, but their display is about 2/3rds of what it was.  Gun Zone also had a smaller display than I remember.  A new vendor I didn't recognize was at the far right (south) selling tons of mags.  Rifle mags were well marked, pistol mags not so much.  I guess the glut of H&K-91 mags has finally dried up.  They've gone from $5/each to $20/each.  Parking was pretty easy.  I quickly found a spot two rows from the front.  I skipped the last Big Town, so maybe missed the price increase for entry.  $9 now.

That is all.

I can't believe the prices on SKSs.

The lowest price I saw was $400. I also saw one for $500, another for $650 and the highest I saw was $750.

Saw a K31 carbine for $675.
