I just mailed over the forms, a copy of my C&R, DL & FOID along with a cover letter. His secretary called me and said she would get them signed. I picked them up in person this morning. My total interaction was probably 5 minutes on the phone and 5 minutes picking up the forms, all with his secretary. Turn around was 12 days from when I mailed (including two weekends). She mentioned that they have been getting a decent amount of them and with how smooth it went, it seems they have no issues signing. The only thing she mentioned is that they run a background check, which I fully expected. Thanks to another member at ILCarry, I have an address to get them sent straight to her. If anyone wants it, just IM me. |

The palatine police departments secretary (or something like that) emailed me back and said she'd hand off my paperwork to the chief for signature. We'll see what happens next! engraving question: Does the engraving on the lower have to be my name/town? Or say I'm using a spikes tactical lower, would the engraving be "Spikes Tactical, Apopka Florida"? I'd be buying a stripped lower and putting together the SBR from that. |

If I do move out of state, I would start a trust, is it possible or worthwhile to move an individual SBR into a trust? I'm thinking I should maybe just wait until I know what my living situation will be. |

I'd like to do this but I've only met one person that has had their Form 1 approved and they're currently awaiting the stamp. Is the best route still through C&R? It appeared that the initial issues were with the fact that we can't use a trust here in IL. Between here and ILCarry it seems that a decent amount of people have gotten approvals. Currently the only route we have is through a C&R and filing as an individual. 26" overall length with the stock fully extended, not including the muzzle device unless it is pinned. |

Looking at the NFA Tracker graph, Form 1 paper individuals have been averaging around 45-60 days lately it appears. The latest approvals (F1/paper/individual) that were logged there, the checks were cashed on 10/6 and 10/8. I've been so anxious the last few days thinking about it since I'm at 49 days currently 
I will probably give them a call tomorrow or Friday to check up |
