For those that ordered, did you get a tracking number with movement yet? I ordered late on the 27th and they had 90+ when I ordered. Monday December 1st I received a tracking number, but it's been in "Pre-Shipment" ever since. I'm hoping they are just slow from the holidays and it's not USPS losing my package after missing a scan. |

I ordered my upper on the 26th, got a "shipped" email on 12/1 and still no tracking info. I also ordered some small parts on the 29th and they shipped on 12/2 via USPS Ground Advantage. Tracking info shows that box is en route. |

I emailed Arms Unlimited before I saw the replies here and received a response today. AU customer service is telling me the reason mine has not shipped is because Colt shipped these upper receivers to them without the bolt carrier groups and charging handles. They are waiting for a shipment from Colt for the missing parts and will then ship them out. I'm not exactly sure how that happens.. but here we are. |

AU has also been known to post things for sale that they have not yet received from Colt, and IIRC will even create tracking numbers when they are ordered by customers. We've had a few members inquire about why their stuff takes so long to ship. Some don't think it's a big deal, others think it's scummy. |
I was just about to ask if any of the early orderers had gotten theirs yet but I guess that answers that.  Hopefully the missing parts arrive quickly, otherwise I’ll need to change my shipping address and I don’t know if that’s easy to fix. |

These are not AKs. |

Mine came in today packaged in the blue and white Colt box in the sealed plastic bag. The BCG and CH were inside wrapped separately and everything looks good. I know earlier 16 inch uppers had a bayonet lug but mine does not. Update info The upper looks very well built and finish looks good no purple color or bayonet lug. The front sight does fold and lock into position and it came with a Matech sight without the logo on the side. The BCG and CH were not in the Colt Box but inside the box that it shipped in so make sure you check the packaging and don't throw out the box. They were packaged together in a protective bag and taped closed. The carrier does have the etched "C" but its very faint and it is chromelined. The extractor is not marked and the extractor spring is possibly a copper color looking from the sides not at the top which is clearly chrome looking. The spring does feel strong and stiff without the rubber o ring. The CH is a standard mil spec with no markings. The bolt is marked MP. The upper does have forge markings, C and a square. |

I now wonder if the front sight is flip down or not. The stock photo shows yes (like bayo lug) but the ad description says fixed front sight. We obviously cannot go by AU's ad photos as to what you will receive. They should at least mention any differences. They really need to be more diligent in what they advertise. The mismatching of ad photos and actual product not in agreement has been a recurring issue with them through the years. |

A Matech is better than a Magpul, but again its not what was/is puctured on the ad. Not a deal breaker in this instance imho. Matech is a nice alternative. After handling this, no way I could return it! It really is a sweet upper, and mine came with a CAGE marked charging handle and properly marked BCG that was test fired. Giving it a quick inspection, it looks perfectly executed and built with pride. Hopefully I get it to the range Tuesday. Also, it came with a MATECH rear sight. https://imgur.com/a/nEjoQxG |

I’m probably going to return mine if it arrives without a lug (and apparently it will). Tracking shows expected delivery on Monday. It isn’t pinned to the thinnest part of the barrel; you can see the larger diameter where it’s supposed to go in the above pic. |
