Mike, since the plan seems to be to release receivers before complete rifles, will you be selling grey anodized charging handles and trigger guards to match for those that will be home building their rifle?
Thanks for keeping my dream to have a retro clone rifle alive! |

I hope psa will change their cut too in the near future to being a m16 cut as well. |

An A2 marked lower with a matching upper sounds fantastic. Just out of curiosity, will the H&R line be sold primarily through PSA's website, will it have its own page, or will it go through traditional distribution? |

We're probably going to have to use the PSA website.
However, I'd like to have all my stuff on the H&R website, with a link to the PSA shopping cart. That way it's easier to find. |

Mike, I don’t post in the industry a lot, BUT I am very happy to see things working out with you and PSA. I’ve got a couple of OG NDS Yugo receivers from back in the day. But that’s not why I wanted to post. Some years ago a bunch of us were asking @palmettostatearmory to Make A1/A2 Uppers Great Again. Unfortunately they said it’d likely be a no go, and if they ever did, we’d get pizza (or something along those lines).
Well now that you’re here, I believe PalmettoStateArmory owes us a PIZZA PARTY! But, as I’m an eminently practical guy, I’d settle for PSA providing a pizza party for their employees, since they do a heckuva job. I’ll be waiting for pics. |

Nothing makes me happier than clones done right.
The industry has gotten better but a "clone" used to be if you're half blind and got something stuck in your eye and you'd happen to see a gun through a blurry pic on someone's cracked phone screen at 144p resolution at 50ft away it might look like the real thing. I used to think "man why is so hard just to make things right?" Mike, thanks for all the work that you do. Really looking forward to raising the bar for the retro and clone builds out there. |

Mike,
I know it’s still fairly early in the game, but do you have an idea of how many receivers y’all will put out on the initial release? I missed the mark on colt, brownells, Original NDS, etc. retro stuff and I definitely don’t want to miss the mark this time around! I have all the other parts ready for a build, just waiting for you to release these bad boys! |

First batch out to ano is only going to be 100 A1 lowers, 100 2 position CAR tubes, and the remaining 80+ NDS uppers.
The uppers are a mix of NDS-603, 604, and 605's. Pretty much all of them are going to be blems. They were parts I had culled out for forge flaws or other small things. |

I was thinking what to do with some of my test and rona build ARs. I think I know what I want to do now. Take them apart, sell the parts, the make more clones.
I built an original Colt M16A1 kit but couldn't find an affordable Colt lower. I went with the Brownells. It looks great but is plain. As the military makes mixmasters out of everything, an H&R lower might look pretty good with the rest of the rifle. I know I will definitely be buying parts for cloning purposes. |
|
|
When can we expect to see some blem 604’s up? What kind of forging flaws did y’all catch?
|
|
|
There's only a handful of NDS-604's left. Typical forge flaw is a crease in the dish below the rear sight on the left side.
But we have a few thousand forgings in house, with more coming. |
