I guess the original Siete thread got trashed or I’m just blind and not finding it.
What mounts or rings are people using on the Siete? I have an LT845 and probably a couple other 34mm and 30mm LT mounts I can use (104 or 204’s). I’m leaning towards the 845 because it could do double duty on 2-3 rifles I have. I can always get 34-30mm spacers so the ring size isn’t set in stone, but I’d prefer to use what I already have. I’m considering an EO 3.5-18 I’ve been watching for it which is fortunately 34mm. TIA |

You lucky owners should post some groups on the same target!
The lack of results outside of 1-2 ppl has kept me away, but I’ve found an unfired Siete for 3100$. Just hesitant to pull the proverbial trigger. |

Mine is still sitting in the Pelican case from the BuildAR sales waiting for me to save up for glass. With the stock and bolt installed it won’t fit in the 2 cases it was shipped in. Glad I had the Pelican under my bed. Lol At $3100 it’s probably worthwhile to grab considering they’re $4k+ from the shop. If it’s not to you’re liking I’m sure you could recover the money spent. |

I used the 807. You could go lower if you want as you can still get closer. If I remember I’ll go back and find the models and height. I measured my 204? And went off the specs on their site. I will say that I think the risers are made to align with whatever mark recommended 847? But may just be me.
I didn’t take a lot of pics of my groups since I just did the break in and built a load for hunting with it. Break in group using the cheapest ammo Cabela’s had in stock. ^^^^ Thanks. May need to splurge on a new mount the 845 sits around 1.53 so the 807 is a bit lower. When I get the scope I’ll have to see how things line up and decide if the 807 is the better option.

I'm using LT-112 and the 6.5 and .308 barrels shoot well. Haven't shot the 22-250 barrel yet.
Hornady 140gr ELD-M (three shot groups as I had just one box at the time):   FGMM 140gr Berger Hybrid:  FGMM 140gr SMK  OP, if you can get one for $3100, JUMP. |

The 120 and 123 were the lowest set mounts (by my math) I had in my notes when purchasing.

LT-845 is a bit of a tight fit for a NF 2.5-20 and could be lower but it works. Might grab something lower down the road.

Needed to pick up a few things from LaRue and while I was at it I added a RAT rod kit to my order for the Siete. Not so much for cleaning but to knock out a stuck case in the field should it happen. Welp, I figured out why they weren’t included with the stock. The screws that hold on the cheek risers prevent the rods from inserting into their holders, or removal of the holders for that matter. I guess I have a spare set of rods.

Agreed, I will most likely wind up going with the TR-2 as well. I thought it looked really sharp on the CBP solicitation he did a few months back. Need the dust to settle some first though. I’ve been buying much needed optics lately and it’s taken a bite out of my fun money budget.
ETA: Were you able to continue using the LaRue buffer tube or did you have to use the one supplied? Trying to decide if I want to pony up for cerekote or not. |

I think the Siete is a great concept and turned out decent, albeit probably about 10 years too late. I wanted one, because I am a LT fanboi, but I just couldn't talk myself into pulling the trigger - even at the introductory price.
There are just too many custom action/barrel/stock/chassis options available now that just keep getting better (and arguably cheaper) year over year. Anyone with $4k burning a hole in their pocket, a little bit of time, a couple tools, and two brain cells to rub together can build just about whatever they want in a "custom" bolt gun. That wasn't the case not so long ago, leaving a niche market that the Siete could have fit into very nicely. |

I ordered the 17" 308 last night with a couple of the new hats. I didn't do the Tranquilo brake. I'll probably run my Nomad Ti on it. It's about 13.5oz lighter than the Tranquilo. With a Plan B / Rearden Atlas muzzle device I can probably save close to a full pound. |

I got in on the Siete pre-order and haven't purchased a scope yet. As others have said, the hinge and stock seem to be a miss since they are proprietary and limit other stock options.
I wish the C2 stock would work with the Siete. It seems more adjustable than the TR2 stock. |

Makes me glad I picked up multiple UU's, several MBT triggers, a couple of stripped lowers and the Tranquilo when they were still great deals. And since this a Siete thread, I waited a long time for this gun to come out, and then passed when I had the chance. Too pricey and the stock was a real problem. Still no regrets. Now if Mark would ever make a somewhat reasonably priced semi-custom 1911 in 9mm I'd be all over it. |
