Finally had a range day, and all I can say is wow. This rifle is amazing, and still gets plenty of attention.
This rifle makes me look good, real good. I don't have Military or LE background; and this is only my 4th time being to the range. Here is what was used 18" PtOBR 7.62 Leupold Mark 6 3-18x CMR-W Reticle Atlas bipod Hornady Custom 168 Grain Match HPBT I tried downloading On Target, but unfortunately it's not Mac friendly Left Target 1.02 - .308 = .712 Right Target 0.79 - .308 = .472

After running out of copies of the target, went to using the stock paper targets. And on my last sheet, with my last 3 rounds, I shot my best group that day. Right Target 0.56 - .308 = .252

why does my preview show the pics but not the post?
So after three range trips i finally got some stuff dialed in on the OBR 7.62 
and also moving a few grains was still decent 
and the set up currently 
OBR 16" Bushnell H59 next time I'll do some 5 shot groups and see how it goes now that I'm more confident in the loads and stuff. Slowly narrowing it all down. In time. First time with the PredatAR! This was the Ptar. It SEEMS my target was a two shot group? So sticking with that, yeah its awesome. BUT seems kind of cheating with two shot. I dunno. Thoughts? Qualify? 
sorry i photo copied it on too light of a setting. next time I'll darken it up. Predatar 16" Leupold 4.5-14 i think. Pre mark4

I set myself up for disappointment with my tOBR. While I was waiting for my rifle I obsessively checked the "Best of the Week" targets. .2 - .3 inch groups raised the bar for my expectations.
I was excited when I picked up my rifle in October, but then I saw my test target was .736". I went to BassPro and shot several .7s and .6s, sending in a .616 to 'out shot the shootist'. BassPro has a 100 yard 'tube' and you are required to shoot at a bench with a sled. I wasn't rock steady with this set-up. While I loved the quality and handling of the rifle the 'groups' were still not blowing me away; I know this was crazy. Last week, on a short break while providing a week of training at an indoor 100 yard range, I got 20 minutes to myself. I shot prone with a bipod and rear squeeze bag. I tried some hand loads and easily shot four sub 1/2 inch groups in the low 4s with one at .272". Needless to say I am thrilled, proud, and impressed with my 16" tOBR 5.56.

I sent my 16" FG in for an 18" MG replacement. Two weeks ago I took it out for breaking in. I only got to put about 50 rounds through it because I had an M1, M1 Carbine and an 03A3 all with new barrels that had to be broken in too. Between all the shoot, clean, shoot clean cycles the sun was setting as I got the tOBR on line. Fast forward to today. After putting a couple more magazines down range I tried a few groups unsuppressed and then the last group with the SOCOM 7.62. All groups Copper Creek .308 175 gr SMK.

Thank you sir. The tOBR does its part each and every time. The variable is if I remember to do my part.
The POI shift is really very small and repeatable. It is as simple as making two clicks up when you mount the can, make two clicks down when you remove the can and switch the PST to unsuppressed/suppressed (These come under the heading of remembering to do my part).

Ah!! So close yesterday with my .766 target (one outlier increasing the size). I shot .811 yesterday with 75gr PPU match ammo out of a 14.5 tOBR. I'll admit that it was my best target.
I have a question for the rule enforcers. I only have a 1-6x Leupold with a center dot rather than crosshairs. Would it be against the rules if I put a red pastey on the center of the left crosshairs on the test target to help with the sight picture? |

HEY! HEY !!! Nothing but 17 rounds shows the true potential of a rifle !!!" Here's my deal, we're trying our damndest to always make any 3 rounds in a row to shoot under an inch, period. If it's a 1,100 yard windy shot, I have it on the highest authority (In Todd We Trust) that a first round hit isn't always a sure thing, likely needing a correction. So, if I make a rifle that always keeps 3 rounds together, then a TReMoR™ reticle correction will work. But it's gotta keep 3 rounds together on a regular basis to work. Of course by the fourth shot, the soft target is likely a mover and well, that's out of my area of responsibility. I don't know if we'll ever know if we've achieved what we constantly strive for, but that's not gonna stop us from the pursuit of groupieness. Great shooting on your part and the feedback we're constantly getting from this thread helps the cause. ML ETA - This thread just rolled over 40,000.

Would some kind soul figure out my MOA for target? I have a Mac, and OnTarget is PC only. I would have used my calipers, but if you loose the screw holding the battery in the calipers, it's rather hard to get it to work. Eyeballing it makes me think I did outshoot the man. Using PPU 75gr Match using a Leupold 1-6x20.
PS I apologize in advance if asking if you outshot the shootist is taboo.
