If anyone is looking to buy one CDNN has them on sale right now.

6mm Creedmoor - $899.99
.308 - $999.99
5.56 - $999.99

I have bought magazines and parts from CDNN and have always been a satisfied customer.

That’s an excellent price!  They’re probably clearing out the old stock, making room for the newest version.

I heard Ruger is switching over to M-LOK so I wonder if this is a way to clean everything out and get all new.

I bet there is a new version coming out, and they want to get rid of the old ones before then.

The model number on grabagun is 18008. The model number on the Ruger website is 18029. I am assuming different years.

What are the major differences?

I was under the impression that the Gen1's had 3 sided MLOK handguards and the G2 was 4 sided.  Also the part numbers do not match.  Is CDNN listing G1's as G2's?

Official Ruger site

CDNN sale listing these as Gen2's

$900 for a 6.5c Gen2 would be over $200 cheaper than anywhere I've seen it listed.  If it was a G2 at that price I'd buy it right now.

I emailed Ruger for clarification.  I soooooooooo want that to be Gen2, but not feeling optimistic.

Gen1's were keymod, not M-LOK.

It feels really good so far but I haven't had it to the range yet.  It's solid and appears to be well made though.

And for all the cdnn concerns.  I ordered last fall and got a gen2 wit the recall stuff, so dont worry about the model numbers. Just order it if you want one.

Unless they were holding out for $1500 sell prices, they’ve been out of production for what a 1-1.5 yrs?

Gen 2 5.56 RPR
$1,009.00 out the door with 4473.  Was all set to order from buds but local sportsmans warehouse had this marked down.
Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 30moa reticle, NF 1.375 mounts
BCM keymod covers
Odin Works Harris bipod mount
Ergo grip
YHM 5.56 Ti Phantom suppressor
Awaiting accushot monopod

Still unfired unfortunately, need to get muzzle brake timed as it's a degree or two off and I'm out of rocksett.

Also, anyone know of a sunshade that will work with 42mm shv objective?  I called NF and they said they didn't make one for that scope.

What accessories do you recommend ?   Ie scope bipod etc etc .

As an FYI   I am left eye dominant but am right handed  ..  it does make setting things up a bit of a pain .

Try and find a used vortex(pst, strike eagle or viper) on the EE, maybe a Harris bipod too.

Ammo- most of us have had very good results with the Hornady American gunner ammo.

If you reload you can use the brass or sell it to offset ammo cost.

Yeah I couldn’t let it go. Glad I didn’t jump at the $899 CDNN sale.

My luck though they’ll be $499 by the end of the month
