Haven't seen very many pictures of the new AI AX chassis. Just got mine in yesterday from Euro-Optic. Just need to decide on glass and save a little bit longer.

Will do. I just got back from the "range" a couple of hours ago but I was only able to get it sighted in. So far so good, to my uncalibrated eyes it is as bright as my 3-12 S&B. I will hopefully get to go to a local 600 yard match next month and that should be more indicative of true performance.
First picture is the AI with my Quantico built A3. Top target was the first I shot with the AI. First round is seen 6" low and the next nine are on target. The A3 is no slouch, the bottom right has a sighter low and then 9 shots on target. Both are a dream to shoot but the bolt and trigger on the AI almost make it a religious experience to shoot. Just waiting on my Night Force rings and bases. Picked up the HS precision stock in the EE and just got done skim bedding it, timney trigger, harris BRM-s bipod, Vortex HS-T 4x16x44 and a stockeys tactical M4 steel bottom metal. I have a line on a McMillan stock but I'm going to shoot this first, if it shoots good I'll leave it alone. |

This is actually almost exactly the same setup I'm about to re-do my 700SPS (standard) as. I've got a Medalist Style 2 stock on the way from Stocky's, and I'm having a fluted #3 varmint barrel made. I'm glad I saw a pic of it complete with bipod, I was just trying to envision it and hope for the best How do you like the Redfield? |
