If you were a child of the 80's post some of your favorite toys. I'll start with a couple of the most memorable for me.

M.U.S.C.L.E. Men.  I had tons of these guys. They sold them in tubes anywhere you could buy toys. They were cheap and fun to collect all the different designs. Warning: DO NOT do a google image search for "muscle men"

Castle Grayskull, another favorite:

I had those muscle men as well as Castle Gray Skull.

I also like micro machines, GI Joes, Star Wars action figures.

My brother had an Intelivision that was pretty badass at the time.

Did anyone have that stupid Saturn looking ball thing that you bounced on like a pogo-stick?

edit* Damn I forget about transformers, they were my favorite.

The Big Trak tank.  Loved it.  I used to program it to go into my sisters room, blast her with the laser photon gun, do a doughnut and return to me.  Good times.

I was gonna post that. They are supposed to be doing a reissue of these, only in a white color.

Another great toy was a 3ft long aircraft carrier called Flying Aces. It had little foam planes (one corsair and one jet, I forget which one). The catapult was reduce gear driven with a shifter style lever and would launch the planes into flight. Great stuff.

Entertech electric squirt guns.  They only suffered badly from low-mag capacity.  10 seconds of squirting and you're headed for a spicket.  That would have been cool if they sold extra mags.

That is weird mixed bag of old joes and new ones.  They may have actually reissued the Flagg in the anniversary stuff.  If they did it was after I gave up trying to collect the new joes.  I was picking up everything but chase figures for a while but they just kept cranking out higher volumes of stuff.  Not only did you have at least one series of single every couple of months but they started to do 5 packs and 3 packs almost as often along with vehicles.

I was a huge Joe fan as child and a combination of nostalgia and some really good Joe comics brought me back as an adult.

I was also a big fan of Dino Riders when I was a kid.  I think they were out in the 80s, could have been early 90s.

I was never a transformers fan as child but as an adult I picked up a few because the sculpting and engineering impressed me a lot.

Girder & Panel building sets.

Were the Heroes In Action figures carried over from the late 70s into the early 80s?  It seems to me that they were, as I had several sets/figures/vehicles, but that was a long time ago....

The stuff I had that got the most use in the '80s besides my bike were legos, 3" Joes (had just about everything they put out the first 2 yrs), my daisy pellet rifle, and my toy guns.

I had a lot of favorite toys, some of them meant a lot to me.  One of the most special was 2 tonka type trucks that my Great-Grandfather modified by putting a hitch on both of them.  That let me pull each other around.

Another was a huge plastic C-130 Hercules plane.  Had a wingspan of about 2 ft.  You could fit all kinds of stuff in the bay using the rear cargo door.  I played with that more than anything I think.

All of my toys were destroyed in a house fire when I was 11.  3 years ago, I was in an antique shop with my wife (then g/f) and came across an identical C-130 Hercules plane.  I couldn't snatch that thing up fast enough.  It's now displayed proudly in my office.

It's funny though, because the first thought I had when I saw this thread was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Blimp that I saw in a house I was helping my dad at.  I remember wanting one SO bad, but never did get one.  Here's a picture of it:

I forgot about the TMNT.  I loved those things back in the day.  I think I had the same C-130, even though it was nowhere near Joe scale I used it with my Joes.  I had a tank I think the same people made, similar construction.  Also used with G.I. Joes.
