ETA: even with a bull that is blind and bleeding to death, that matador, armed with a sword, still got his ass handed to him. Hopefully he died. Scummy and incompetent? Get off my planet. |

If the bull could not win the bullfight would be far less interesting just like hunting dangerous game would be far less interesting if there was actually no danger involved. I'd love to see a bullfight someday. I actually think it gives the bull a more dignified death than being led to a slaughterhouse. He fights for his life and can actually win. And in the end, if/when he's killed, he becomes tacos just like the rest. These bulls are also bred to be that dangerous, so it's no like there is anything else to be done with them other than killing them. I'd hate to see bullfighting die.

I got to watch a bullfight in Spain and it was pretty awesome. One of the matadors got injured. I think he just got flipped up over the wall and wasn't impaled.

Just like you could seriously or even fatally wound a cape buffalo, but he is still going to do his damndest to kill and and is quite capable of it, and while the majority of the time they are killed, people are still killed or seriosuly injured by them even if (often especially if) they have been wounded. Bullfighting is a much more dangerous sport than it seems to most people. |
