I fucking hated Grandma's House. Always lit it up with an LMG.

How did it become known as grandmas house? that always made me start convos in game and no one knew.

'cause it was over the snipers and through the noobs.

<face palm>

It was de_dust2

And I love cs_assault more. Better challenge. Camping could work against both sides. Needed solid teamwork.

At least you've got the right game
But the wrong map.  It's a tie between Depot and Market Garden.

Agree was playing Battlefield 1943 on ps3 for a whole year , not bad for a $9.99 at the time with millions in memories ncluded. I killed tons in any vehicle or plane I could get in.  Wasnt a bad sniper either.

I've been playing DOD, and DOD Source since the dawn of time, it feels.  What is a new game that feels similar?

Note: I HATE how in DOD:S the players move too damn fast.  DOD was more realistic in that regard.

I've obviously been out of the game thing for too long, and missed some good ones.

This is the last game I played with relish:

And is it sad that I remember all the Atari and Doom pics?

I wish the Command & Conquer series hadn't been ruined after Red Alert 2

The hell you say! C&C Renegade was perhaps the most under rated online FPS of its day.  Before there was Call of Duty and Battlefield 19XYZ123 there was: Renegade.  You could drive, fly, shoot, drop nukes on huge multiplier go-anywhere maps.  I was disappointed they never attempted a sequel.

Too true. Game functions have gone away as well. The old games had unlimited size maps, lean, prone, swim underwater, total modability etc. DF2 was great simply because of all the crazy custom maps everyone made. Pyramids in the sky, or completely underwater maps, whatever. Unfortunately the money is in consoles, so we get crap games that will function on them.
