HK33, though I wouldn't mind any of the HK  roller delayed blowback guns in full auto.

I know many disagree, but I like the ergonomics, though that may be partially due to my extreme lankiness (I'm 6'5", ~150 lbs, and my dress shirts sport a 37" sleeve).  The best part to me, though, is the action type.  The inherent accuracy of the roller delayed blowback design rivals that of any self-loading firearm, with incredibly consistent lockup and, unlike gas operated firearms, the ability to support a truly free floated barrel, all without sacrificing a single bit of reliability.  Combine all this with the versatility (and availability under normal market conditions) of the 5.56 NATO cartridge and an S-E-F trigger group, and you've got my dream gun.

Damn I wish HK would start making these guns again (preferably in the US to avoid import restrictions) and sell me an HK93!  Hell, I would be happy with a PTR in 5.56 (I've got a PTR-91 MSG and the quality is top notch).  I know Vector sells a '93 clone, but I've heard mixed reports on the quality, and why a company would skimp on something that was engineered with such great inherent properties is beyond me.
Sorry I dont know much, but just how good are the magazines they make as I have read that was a problem with the MP5.

So as of right now my dream gun would be an MP5 A3 with a suppressor.

What about yours?

ETA: Glock18 is a close 2nd for me right now.

You have the same two "grail guns" as me... I actually owned a Pre-86 HK MP5 trigger pack and a few hosts. I had to sell it in the end, but at least I can say that I had it for a while.

M82 or M107 Barrett would be pretty damned sweet, too, but my local gun club doesn't allow 50 cal, so I'd be driving a bit to shoot it.

I'm 22. I've wanted one since I was about 10 and saw it in the original Ghost Recon.

Not in my lifetime though . I'd be lucky if I could even touch one - let alone own it

Not to rub too much salt in the wound, but shooting one was one of the more amazing experiences of my life, it was like 30 little mouse farts and 30 loud clangs on a steel plate.  It's one of the quietest supressed weapons I've ever heard with subsonic ammo.

Your not supposed to shoot subsonics in the MP5SD. It has a ported barrel that specifically lowers the velocity of standard ammo to the subsonic range. If you use subsonics in the SD it ends up being the worlds most expensive .22lr

Wait....WHAT?

How does porting a barrel reduce velocity that much? (Unless the barrel is ported near the chamber.)

I've never read anything bad about the 5.56 mags, but I don't have any personal experience with them either.  The only roller delayed blowback gun I have any real experience with (not counting the few times I've been lucky enough to put a few mags through an MP5) is the .308 variant (I've shot a few CETME's, a pair of PTR's, including my own, and I've handles, but not fired, a factory HK91).  All the G3 mags I've used, both steel and aluminum, have functioned flawlessly (and they're cheap too!).
