You got that right. I got talked into getting a damn 4S and it sucks. I liked my dumb phone better.

Screw an iphone, my cell phone so old it's has a dial on it....the only way to call!

Using technology to your advantage offsets the cost of the higher Galaxy S4 / Iphone. It's all about time management and the S4 makes it much easier for me to save time.

BTW, if you turn off the wifi, bluetooth and 4g radios (and don't use the apps), the battery lasts for days. Basically, if you use the phone for texting and the occasional phone call (meaning - like you use your phone), the battery lasts a really long time. Certainly more than enough time to put it on a charger once every couple days.

View Quote Having all known information in your hands immediately available sure is nice. I'd say that mine easily saves me two hours of time per month, so there's my hundred bucks. Anything beyond that is time/money in the bank. What will I do with all my time/money at the end of the year?

Who gives a shit what you think about their phones? Go home, you're drunk.

Lol lame.
U mad, bro? I pay less than 100/mo for a droid razr and a DNA. Welcome to 3 days on the DNA with normal surfing and Pandora. Not to mention the convenience of leaving my laptop at home if I have to look something up, check email, or play a game. |

You can call there and ask them - oh wait your battery is dead again. OK so lets think about this... I don't need to stop and find a computer or have a laptop with me and then have to find access somewhere) My phone also replaces My GPS (and it is up to date no maps to buy Ever). It is my alarm clock (that I use to remind me of medication I need to take during the day (yea I have very bad Hamas) It is my contact book, so I can call or send an e-mail, text or call any one of my contacts anywhere I am at any time. It has an awesome Camera (that is sure handy to have with me, and have used to photograph damage on vehicles etc) it also holds is my music player, so if I have a layover I can at least enjoy some music over some kid crying. It can also connect to Ham Radio Networks so I can actually communicate over Amateur Radio with it. In short it replaces a bunch of other things (and is cheaper), and I have access it my fingertips no matter where I am. for some they will not ever have the need, but for those who do it is irreplaceable. |

I'm writing this from a Droid. I sense OP is jealous View Quote I spent two years on a smart phone because I thought I needed it. It was an expensive two years. In case anyone is curious what I'm doing with my $840 this year, I'm building a new computer around November/December. i5 most likely. I'll have money left over, too. |

Droid what?
After the above shot at 70 yards with M855, I've been back to an old LG flip phone. I charge it once every three or so days (and I talk on it a LOT for work), and it's a tank. Sadly, I'll have to get another smart phone at some point due to work. I'm an Android fan (F*&K Apple), however the Nokia Lumia 1020 (Windows 8) is tempting. If they had it for Verizon or Straight Talk, I'd likely snag it. |

As a business owner the $100 per month is paid for by the business because I use it 99.87 % for business.

I only charge my Iphones only at night when I sleep. Use the shit out of them all day.

Well, a number of times I've been in a store looking for something that I needed. I found what I needed, but fuck, it's way more expensive than I thought it would be. Fuck it, whip out the smartphone, scan the bar code and check Google and Amazon.
Oh, look at that, I found it for 30% less online. Smartphones come in handy quite a bit. |

Galaxy Note 2. Massive screen and can go all day on a single battery charge with heavy texting, web surfing, playing games. Best smartphone I've ever had. |

I try to minimize my costs when I can. Overall, I'm pretty frugal and my cell phone is just one facet of that frugality. My recurring bills, especially, I try to save on. It may only be $5 a month, but that's $5 a month forever. |

I have the same phone as the OP. I spend 30 a month for talk, text, and some data. more than enough to check arfcom now that the trees have been trimmed
