Damn near 60 here today and the mountains are supposed to get 6 inches tonight.

Went to the range today with a friend, it was rough!
Wind was howling, gusting up to 15 mph or so! And COLD! Whew-wee! In the forties, with the wind, felt like the thirties!
We shot pistols, sighted in an AR build and a new red-dot on a Socom, did some blasting at ground targets with the handguns and carbine. Went down to the Rifle range but I decided against doing a ladder test and some accuracy work with my 6.5, .308. and Long Range AR.on account of the freezing temps and howling wind....
Instead, me and my bud contented ourselves with abusing the 300 yard gong, which turned out to be a yawn worthy waste of ammo with his 24 inch bull barrel Rock River and my 20 inch ARmalite with a WOA match barrel. But fun again when I broke out the 16 inch Carbine with open sights and the M-14s with irons and some ball. .308 makes such a satisfying "whop" on the steel! 
But we finally had to pack it up and get out of the cold... My bud was wearing his jeans with some camo hunting pants over them, a sweat shirt and a jacket, and a hat, and freezing. Crackers don't like cold!

cold weather is not uncomfortable until it drops below 0 F
if it's warmer than that I don't zip my jacket I don't see what all the fuss is about seriously, everyone is acting like this is the first cold winter weather we ever had if it's real windy and real cold it can be brutal, but otherwise it's no big deal when I was a kid we would play in the snow all day your mom would generally make you go inside if your lips turned blue that would usually only happen if your pants got soaking wet with melted snow to summarize, I was an elite coldness operator at 10 years old and you are flannel footie wearing cocoa sippers |

erm... 68 is what it should be... inside a house... at sleeping time.
House shouldn't go below 64 nor above 74. I have never once used the heater in my 11 years of living down here. I miss seasons. |
