Is something being coordinated for all these flash mob things or are people just copy-catting now and getting local groups to go cause havoc?

The day will come when most of these malls will be gone because of the flash mob shit and the gang violence.
It doesn't really matter if you go to one in the nice area of town, one post on social media and next thing you know, flash mob.
This is why we can't have nice things because the few are screwing it up for everyone.

The mobs move in, the people stop coming, online shopping sounds better every day.

Because that is the place where the opulent display of "the man's" wealth angers those that are given just enough to survive.  These people (yes, THAT just happened) fail to understand economics because that appears to be a construct of "the man".  That same "man" who had enslaved their ancestors and cut off their great grand pappy's foot after he ran away from the plantation.

Odd that they fail to see the Fabian socialists they think they appeal to put them back on another plantation sometime around 1964.

I check the anchor stores for suits and maybe other random clothes i'm in need of on sale. Sometimes I go to walk around if i'm bored.

I can't get a fountain drink and a bucket of pretzel bites off the internet yet either so the malls still have some value to me.

Yes, a lot of people still shop at malls. Especially young people.

As mentioned by another, the anchor stores usually have great end of season deals and the riff raff generally stays in the middle.

If I venture out in the middle it's to get an Auntie Annie pretzel or Panda Express .

It was the Christmas shopping season, so malls were a good bet to create substantial discomfort for people trying to go about their day, while not having a care in the world about police killing black men in some city far away.

Not really. I mean I know what you're saying but at least it's been so slow as to be unnoticeable, until only a few years ago.

The strange phenomena of people protesting, shooting, and taking the sides of thugs with police records would not have the momentum it has now only a few years ago.

People have gotten exponentially stupid in recent history. That means we are approaching an asymptote. It means that the stupidity is increasing in a non-linear manner.

In other words, the pot is going from simmer to boil over rather quickly. In my opinion. I'm old enough to see the progression. I mean degression.

I guess you are right, its been a slow build from the campus shooting at Simon's Rock college in 1989 to what we have today:
more shootings, more loss of values, more short sightedness etc....the cheapening of our society began IMO when women began to
work more and we had the whole empty house syndrome with both parents distracted and a lack of values overall.
I am not a 'churchy' person by any means, but values, respect for society and perhaps a belief system in a being over us, keep us mindful
of what is important. Some would say that the 60's really lit the fuse so to speak on the bomb that is going off slowly now...
I wish I had the resources to get to 'high ground' before the flood really hits.

I live not too far from where this happened on the north side of indianapolis. Castleton square mall is probably the largest mall in the city with the biggest selection of stores. It has been on the steady decline for the past 3+ years. It is sad to say but is what it is. It is black males between the age of about 13-20 that are causing all of the problems

The past few times I have been there with my family it has been ridiculous. They are there to do nothing more than hang out, chase ass, and thug. As with most malls there is a flow of traffic.. You walk down the right side and back on the other side. They will walk 8 wide and 2 deep against the flow of traffic just to see what they can start. Before Christmas when shopping we stopped for lunch for a bite to eat in the food court before heading out to shop more. There was a table of black males next to us and all you heard was f that mufucka. I gon pull my fotay an hem his n ass up. F this f that. F f f f   Not a one of them had any food or items purchased at the mall.

I know csb right?

It is sad because the truth is that this is the second time this has happened in the past few months, all perpetrated by the same group of people. If Simon malls doesn't get their act together this mall will close just like two other malls in the city did when this sort of thing started. Good people(white, black, purple or green) will not put up with this much longer and start voting with their wallets

Demographics matter.

Many places around the world are cesspools of human filth for a very good reason and have always been so.
Get used to it...its only going to get worse and more wide spread as our nation becomes more and more culturally enriched.
It not just happening here, for example close to 1000 cars were set of
fire in France in culturally enriched areas on new years eve as well.
Its now a societal race to the bottom in Western nations as the productive populations get out numbered by the non-productive.

I read it.

There was nothing racial or racist in my use of the term "Dindu". Per TBK1's post:

"the use of it was restricted (almost always) to its original--and proper--meaning, which applies to the individuals who justify criminal conduct by claiming "he was a good boy who dindu nuffin." This is perfectly acceptable on the site, as it's clever and comical--and accurate."

If the tacked thread is inaccurate, and this word is not permitted at all, the notice should be changed, as it is misleading.

Until the store owners themselves push the mall owners to deal with loitering, it will only get worse. If the mall owners have to hire an officer to do trespass duty and boot the thugs and come up with rules concerning loitering and group size, people who want to buy good will go elsewhere.

If the PD wants nothing to do with it, then it's time to start playing dirty like playing Barry Manilow type music non stop.

Believe me, most of the PD's WANT to handle the problem.  But, when you've got crowds THAT big causing trouble and they won't back down, there might be a taser use here or there.  The politicians aren't going to have that.
