...won an election for Constable of my Township in PA. Turns out it qualifies for LEOSA.
Considering it was a write in and I wasn't running. ...I'm probably not going to take it, but it's funny to think it's that easy. 4 votes. |

Congratulations, Constable. You've been drafted! You might as well take the perks of the job.
Our county has volunteer sheriffs that are sent to a peace officer academy.....pretty sure it qualifies for leosa as well
I thought there was a minimum amount of votes needed. like 15 or 20
So you are saying you are now more equal than the other animals ?

Does that mean you can carry a 20 round 9mm handgun in NY while flipping Bloomberg off?
Why not take it? How many years do you have to put in till full "retirement".
Whoopee. When carrying under LEOSA you are tied to your dept weapon policies. I suggest you take a VERY close look at those SOP's.

Our range officers dread me coming because I bring a J frame, 4 glocks, 3 1911s, a lcp, and a Derringer. It takes me an hour to qualify lol. |

If you're a deputy, yes... it does When did that change??? It's been a handful of years but I used to hang out with some officers one night a week drinking when I worked EMS and they always gave this Lancaster County Deputy Sheriff a hard time because he couldn't carry if we went to the beach or something... He is even a k9 handler on a emergency response team of some sort and does shit with the marshals and PSP sometimes... But wasn't covered a few years ago. |

If you're a deputy, yes... it does Unless you're assigned to corrections in Cook County. Then it only applies while you're on the job. If you retire, fuck you and your LEOSA: Moore v Trent 1:2009cv01712 Of course if it wasn't for that, we might have had to wait for CCW in Illinois so thanks, Lil' Tommy! |
