I really have wonder about these women especially Kelly who is an attorney. Gretchen kept their mouth shut until things did not go their way, and not a peep out of Ms. Megyn as she climbed the ladder at Fox. Then boom pile on time, and for Kelly it is right when her contract is in limbo, it just screams of being nothing more then a legal move to put pressure on News Corp.
I can picture Kelly saying I was just a newbie on Fox trying to make a career so like so many other women I had to tolerate the harassment to stay employed, but now that I have power I am in a position to fight for women's rights. |

The whole thing just smacks of a power play. Firing Ailes is bad for the network at this point. First, it is too soon. If the stuff was that obvious, they've just admitted to hostile work environment. If there is any doubt as to the allegations - and there appears to be a lot of room for doubt at this point. Then Fox has just shot this case in the foot. You can't say "Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury these allegations are bullshit but we fired they guy over them anyways." It's stupid. I think Murdoch's sons are using this scandal as an excuse to get rid of Ailes and put their own guy in. The talent (Greta, O'Reilly, etc.) know that Murdoch's sons are fucktards who can't run the company so they are out if Ailes is out. And as usual Megyn is only thinking of what is good for Megyn.

In all honesty I felt that part about "refusing to treat her as an intelligent and insightful female journalist" was silly. To me it smacks of "If you dislike her opinion you're sexist". Kinda like how triggered some women are getting over bad Ghostbusters reviews. You are REQUIRED to like their opinions and "contributions" and anything else is sexist and harassment. |
