Obviously that system comes with its own set of issues (even though it has its own near-IR illuminator, I've found that poor ambient lighting can still throw it off) but it's nice to have another alternative before having to type in a pin or password to unlock the phone. Plus if you're a Samsung Pay user and think it's cool to pay for stuff with your fingerprint, it's downright 007-ish to make a purchase with your eyeballs

You guys complaining about the fingerprint sensor on the S8 should have bought a Oneplus 3T.
Fastest fingerprint sensor out there. 6GB Ram. Snapdragon 821. Very minimal OS fuckery, so it's lightning quick.

I went from my Nokia to a Samsung S4, that just died after three years (?) The only reason I switched was because I didn't want to carry a separate camera. I do not like having all my crap integrated across multiple devices. For example, I DESPISE gmail, but I manage to avoid most of that with Samsung. I hate this new personal assistant thing "Bixby" ??? It doesn't seem to grasp that I want nothing to do with it.
Anyway I just switched to an 8, I had to spend $50 on a screen protector because of the edge feature. It better last, I'm always a cunt hair away from going back to a flip phone. I'm a ludite.

Samsung is far better than Apple when it comes to phones. And I have probably bought 20+ Apple computers in the last 10 years. iPhone and iOS is the worst thing that ever happened to Apple.

I've had the S8+ since launch and just took it to Florida for a week. This S8 is absolutely the best phone I've ever owned. It's really not even close.
This is coming from someone who's last 3 phones were the S7 Edge, Pixel XL, and iPhone 7 Plus. |

Some people do customizations that improve how they use their phone and then leave it alone. Apple doesn't let you do that. Android does. Android works better for me because of that. Also, android has a better selection of hardware. For example, I detest phones with small batteries, which is every Apple phone AFAIK. Finally, there is cost. Apple makes flagship phones and that is it. Not everyone wants to pay flagship prices. |
