Glock 17 for HD/range

Glock 43 for ccw.

Come tomorrow when I get my CZ P10c - maybe that once I get a case of ammo through it this weekend or next weekend.

A holster would be a good start.  Also a two day handgun class.

I dropped by some shoe stores to ask about boots and belt and 2 said mold is impossible to get out and the 3rd said throw them in the washing machine. Anyone have better ideas? I stored my holsters in a plastic bin with some belts but the lid cracked and somehow moisture got in the garage

This is clearly not about the gun; it's about how you carry it. Start there.

What's better than a Glock?

Lot's of things: SIG, HK, FN....

Most customers like/ask for Glocks because that's the only gun they know or have heard of. When you start explaining the features and benefits of other firearms, it opens up a whole new world of gun choices.

SIG P229.

I shot them side by side with the same ammo and both were close.  The glock had a lot snappier of a recoil cycle.  Even the tool who owned the Glock looked disappointed in it.

I'm currently trying to figure out weather to get a G19,VP9 or Sig P320 for carry.
I would agree on getting a quality holster and a nice rigid belt.  A lot of guys like Magpul belts.  I have a Beltman belt that I really enjoy.  It's stayed quite stiff and I've been wearing it daily for a year now.

Really this.

If i could only have one gun, it would be a P229.

Glocks are the Honda Civic of the gun world. Gets the job done okay, but so many better options.

Additionally check this Sig P320 compact , CZ PCR or P-01, and the Walther PPQ gen 2. All superior to the Glock.

If you had a real holster you wouldn't have a black glob of belly button lint behind the trigger.

Seriously, you'll have a hard time finding something better than a 19.  The new Beretta APX or the FN 509 may be at least equal.  I've only handled both at NRAAM.  They look promising.

glock 26 for concealed, glock 17 for not concealed.

I love my 19, but the Shield is much more comfortable to carry concealed. If you want even more comfort, a Taurus 85 CIA is great. The 85 does offer only 5 shots, but you can shoot through your jacket pocket if necessary.

No, I don't know anyone whom shot the PPQ with me that didn't agree and there's a guy in this thread saying the same.

I'm perfectly happy with my gen4 G19 carry gun but if I were in the market today, I'd really look at other options. Given my like and ownership of Sigs, likely I'd start/end my search with a 320 Carry but would look closely at the VP9, CZP10 and M&P 2.0 guns. IMO Glocka are no longer the best polymer, stricken fired gun on the market.

Again, I have no reason to switch out but if I were to do so, I highly doubt I'd end up with another G19.

My Sig 229 lost out to my 19. Had the Sig first and got the Glock later. The Glock was a lot lighter, slimmer, and didn't get orangish metal parts in the summer. The 229 would get surface rust on the trigger, decocker, mag release, and grip screws. The main deciding factor was that it felt like a brick was strapped to my hip.

If you like the 19, get a 43 for carry - thats what it was designed for. If you're use to the 19 it'll be familiar as well.

I've been using a clipdraw, with Mic-style trigger condom on a Glock 27 for five years and I'm still here. :)
