When are you guys going to figure out Kanye is only about self-promotion? He always says/does insane shit right before releasing an album and it's always for self-promotion. He's MARRIED to one of the biggest self-promoters/manipulating families in the industry...you don't think this is all planned out?

Examples....

3 days after his album Late Registration came out.
Hurricane Katrina "George Bush doesn't care about black people" comment live on TV.

2 days before his album Ye comes out...
Goes on TMZ with a insane rant about blacks and slavery.

2 days before Graduation comes out...
Goes on a rant about MTV being racists and that's why he wasn't winning awards.

5 days before The Life of Pablo came out.
Tweets out "Bill Cosby is innocent" and gets everyone talking about him again.

This happens almost every album. There is a bunch more but that's just the ones I quickly looked up.

He just released an album back in April so I didn't think much of it...until a friend mentioned Kanye is releasing ANOTHER album Yandhi next month.

Now the Trump sit down makes sense.

Don't hitch your horse to guys like Kanye or Rodman. They're shameless self promoters that only care about themselves. He's using Trump. 10 minutes later he'll send out some tweet about loving Hillary Clinton or some other insane liberal garbage. Just watch.

Good

Be aware, the left is pushing the narrative. West is crazy because he digs Trump. West is a hero because he bashes Bush.

All about the flavor of the season for the left; they losing it because one of their negros has escaped from the “plantation”.

Of course it does. Zero doubt, just as there is zero doubt he is having an influence on some voters.

The MSM reaction to Kanye is what is helping Trump.  If they just ignored him. the DNC could play it off as one persons opinion.

The attacks and name calling just builds him up and makes him bigger than life.

Backing up and looking at this in a "lets say I went into a coma like March 2016 and woke up just now" sense:

Holy shit, 35%?! If that's close to real the dems are in BIG trouble.
BIIIIIG trouble.
We were told it was going to be 3.5% OR LOWER, with Blacks and everyone with varying melanin contents other than "white."

Remember: When the grassroots moved, the GOPe had to adjust. Some (Flake) quit instead. Graham, McConnell, those guys got the memo.
What if, if this holds up, does the black Elite establishment have to turn around and realize, 4 in 10 of the people they sincerely believe they're speaking for, have gone the other way?
If one or two more prominent black men or women come out in support of Trump, and the black voting base is split?  The dems are done, at least until they adjust.

Problem: They're now a San Francisco party, built on identity politics. They have to either alienate their alt left base, or become a "big tent" party of (Fake) moderates (Think Clinton, Think how Obama ran in 08).
To get new people back, they would probably have to stop calling people racist. But their alt left socialist wing does NOT want to give up their religion like that.

Personally I think Trump is tracking with Reagan right now. I say that as someone who wasn't a big fan of his, at all ,during the primary.

I guess this explains why the democrat/communists are concentrating their attention on muslim refugees and illegal aliens as well as showing their true face and their true intentions by pushing out the old, traditional democrats and replacing them with in your face communists like ocasio-cortez, Col. "Bernie" Sanders, Senator "Spartacus" Booker, Kamala "Nefertiti" Harris, and Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren. These new democrats/communists know that at least half of American blacks are not communists and won't go along after the reality of communism hits them in the face. The democrats are turning to Muslims and illegal aliens to fill the gaps that the blacks will leave when they start leaving that party. That's why democrats are starting to ignore the blacks and the middle class blue collar workers they used to court.

Kanye sure drives the generational communist community organizing self appointed civil rights champions bonkers...they are now basically calling him
one of those black folk who don't know their place...a runaway slave...which is pretty ironic.

He done run off from the Marxist Re-education Plantation...

Would like to see Kanye and Dinesh get together and make a movie...that would be epic.

Umm already said he loves Hillary but why can't we all have a dialogue just because we have different views.
Is Kanye a hard conservative. Doubtful. He's probably like the greater majority of Americans who has strong views on both sides.
Trump is a businessman and so is Kanye.
As the saying goes. Game recognize game. Ye wants to be on that Trump level.
Everybody self promotes but the stance Kanye is taking hooking his trailer to the Trump train would be a career killer for most famous black rappers. Toss in his wife business and it could wreck that too.
She might not be pro gun but shes been speaking about prison reform which affects a lot of black folks and Trump just commuted a sentence of a woman that Kim spoke to him about. If she starts pushing Trump and the republicans aren't so bad and can show where they have actually helped black  people and other minorities versus lip service that the dems do and passing out welfare. That's going to make an impact

He’s pragmatic like many of us and knows it’s deeds(action, growth etc.) not talk(political rhetoric)that makes a difference.

Obama gave him hope, hope doesn’t put food on the table but + economic growth does. What is the left currently offering? Higher taxes and a crappy economy; I mean wow, who doesn’t want that.

The "Kanye West is batshit crazy" narrative has been going on for almost 15 years now. He has a long documented struggle with being bipolar with many many batshit insane outburst during his live shows, SNL appearances, award shows, late night interviews, etc... The guy has a LONG history of being a nutcase. It's usually blown off as "Kanye just being Kanye."

I would love to pull up a GD thread back in 2005 when Kanye said "George Bush hates black people" on live TV during the Katrina flooding telethon/media went nuts. Curious if people here would be saying the same thing as I'm saying now: "just another crazy attention whore." He was batshit crazy then and he hasn't changed. He's gotten progressively crazier over the years in regards to everything. Don't believe me...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanye_West#Controversies

And the documented crazy started back in 2004.

It's impossible to flip the narrative regarding Kanye West being crazy. Why? Because that's the ONLY narrative. It's been the same narrative since the mid-2000s. The only people that disagreed with that narrative were his rabid loyal "hypebeast" fanbase buying his $1500 sneakers and saying "he's just a brilliant artist" excuse.

I just feel Kanye is using Trump and will just do a complete 180 at one point/make the Republicans look bad for taking him serious. Like it's one big Andy Kauffman type troll job.

There is no,absolutely no,way Trump would get 1/3 of the black vote tomorrow or in 2020.

The DNC will likely run Harris or Booker to make sure he doesn’t break 10%.

Again, I just REALLY hope this isn't some Andy Kauffman type troll job on Trump.
Kanye is seriously the crazy Kauffman/Joaquin Phoenix type that I can imagine playing a fake character so he can later document it as the one guy that successfully trolled a president. Like another Kanye "I'm so clever" art project.

How many other music artists have their own "mental health" section on Wikipedia? Thinking Britney Spears, Micheal Jackson, and maybe a handful of others.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanye_West#Mental_health

Mental health

In his song "FML" and his featured verse on Vic Mensa's song "U Mad", he refers to using the antidepressant medication Lexapro, and in his song "I Feel Like That", which has not been officially released, he mentions feeling many common symptoms of depression and anxiety. These songs had all been recorded during West's recording sessions for The Life of Pablo.[374]

On November 20, 2016, soon before abruptly ending a concert prematurely, he said, "Jay-Z—call me, bruh. You still ain't called me. Jay-Z, I know you got killers. Please don't send them at my head. Please call me. Talk to me like a man."[375] The following day, he was committed to the UCLA Medical Center with hallucinations and paranoia. Contrary to what early reports said, however, West was not actually taken to the hospital involuntarily; he was persuaded to do so by authorities.[376] While the episode was first described as one of "temporary psychosis" caused by dehydration and sleep deprivation, West's mental state was abnormal enough for his 21 cancelled concerts to be covered by his insurance policy;[377] he was reportedly paranoid and depressed throughout the hospitalization,[378] but remains formally undiagnosed.[379] Some have speculated that the Paris robbery of his wife may have triggered the paranoia.[380] On November 30, West was released from the hospital.[381]

In an interview in 2018, West declared that he became addicted to opioids when they were prescribed to him after he got liposuction. The addiction contributed to his nervous breakdown in 2016.[382]

On the album Ye, West implied that he had bipolar disorder[383] and compared it to a "superpower";[384] these allusions followed rumors that West was diagnosed with the disorder.[385] West stated that he was diagnosed with a "mental condition" at age 39.[386] West later revealed to Donald Trump that he was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder and was in fact just sleep deprived.[387] West said he thinks about "killing myself all the time."[388]

As Scotus Thomas said , "I am concerned, it is a high-tech lynching for uppity-blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that, unless you kow-tow to an old order"

I think Kayne is Kanye.  At the end of the day he will come out as Kanye. Unchanged.

However, he is like the catalyst in a chemical reaction.  The catalyst comes out of the reaction unchanged but everything around it has changed. In this case I think it is a good change.

I think Kanye should be an honorary adviser, and campaign with him

I don’t think that can be overstated. The “Trump is a racist and Trump supporters only support Trump because they are racist” meme is well-planted. Events and news like this, regardless of substance, contradict and weaken that strategic messaging.
