So who makes a good analog 4.0+ cu.ft. top loader agitator washer nowadays?

I want to replace our Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Top Loader because it takes an hour to wash a load of clothes which is just plain stupid and I think the bearings are shot because it sounds like a jet engine when it spins.

Just get a traditional design with a mechanical timer and switches.  They are cheap and easy to repair if they break but last a long time.

I had a high efficiency toploader with no agitator.

I didn't notice a difference in how it cleaned my clothes, but it was a shitty design that required repair often after 5 years of use.

So I replaced it with a 2018 digital Speed Queen. I know, sacrilegious by GD standards, but it wasn't well know that you could still get the old-school ones on the commercial line when I bought.

Ours is a bottom of the line maytag that is mechanicallly very similar to that one.   Select the load size, wash temp and cycle, set the timer and go.  Had it at least 5 years and its going strong.  Our old one was similar and  we got rid of it because I thought it was leaking.   After we got the new one I discovered the leak was something stupid and easy to fix so we gave it to a co worker.   AFAIK it's still running.

Those new "high efficiency" washers clean clothes about as good as those new "high efficiency" toilets flush turds!

Those high efficiency washers are bullshit. Give me the kind that fills with water and actually cleans things.
This.
Ours cleans very well. I didn't think it would when I bought it but I have been pleased with how it cleans.

Well the last three toilets I have put in flush great. Again I have been surprised.  They have advanced a lot since the first ones I installed.

We replaced a Samsung front loader with a cheap GE deep fill. My clothes don’t smell funny anymore.

Blah blah blah the front loader uses less water. I have a pump in my basement that pumps fresh water out to the curb every week. I do not live in a desert that they have to pipe water from another state to.
