So why, on a pound-for-pound basis, are chimps slightly stronger than humans? The team went on to look at the muscle of chimps that had died of natural causes, which revealed that two-thirds of their muscle consists of fast-twitch fibres, whereas more than half of human fibres are slow-twitch. Fast-twitch fibres are more powerful, but use more energy and become fatigued faster. View Quote Comparing the results with the many studies on those revealed that, contrary to the claims of several other studies, there is nothing special about chimp muscle. “Chimpanzee muscle is really no different than human muscle in terms of the force that individual fibres exert,” says O’Neill. View Quote So, who's ready to step in the cage? I wanna see Miocic or Ngannou vs a Chimp. |

That's it, I'm kicking some chimp ass next time I run into one!!!

I think these "scientists" failed to account for their retard strength.

So I don’t gotta be afraid of chimps any more?
What about quicksand? And packs of ninjas? |

Don’t tell joe rogan, he’s already got the Rona, he can’t handle any more bad news

BS, when was the last time you saw a 120lb person hanging from a tree branch by one hand for a extended period like it was nothing, then carrying on with zero sign of fatigue?

"Chimpanzee muscle is really no different than human muscle in terms of the force that individual fibres exert,"
That doesn't mean when the individual fibers are assembled into a complete chimp the resulting chimp isn't able to rip your face off and tear your limbs off much better than you could do that to him. Fucking chimps: |

It only takes 7lbs of pressure to rip your ear off. About the same for your genitals...

When I was stationed in the Philippines, there were a lot of very aggressive macaques hanging around the dumpsters and stuff. We had a guy who thought he was some sort of super karate ninja who decided to take one on.
It tore quarter-pound chunks out of him. |

Not a Chimpanzee but I watched a full grown adult male Orangutan twist a full sized tire into a figure 8. Those motherfuckers are strong.

They should round up and gas every gawddamn one of them.
Yes I typed that. |

The difference is most humans even when they fight hold back a little. Something in the back of normal human brains says don't hurt another being. Chimps don't give a rip. They are all in from the get go.

It really took until 2021 to figure this out?
Seems like muscle composition is something figured out in the 1800's. |

Had to look closer. It's holding a baby chimp. |

We just did this thread like a month ago
Chimps seemingly smell fear and/or the desire to dominate a weaker opponent (women and elderly men). None of the people with their face ripped off were able-bodied men. |

I still want to give a mature Silverback a half a gram of test and tren for about 15 weeks and train him to deadlift.

People don't realize that ALL the chimps in movies and on TV are young, 'equivalent' to children. NEVER are adults used, too powerful, unpredictable and vicious.
|

Until the chimp version of the Rona comes out, then holy schitz, trust the science and be afraid!
I am gonna pass on pissing off some chimps. |

It's because we're built to be endurance predators, and they're built to be occasional ambush predators.

Fast twitch muscles, found on less than 1/2 of humans.
In fact, the kind of humans that are disproportionately good at basketball. |

When I was in college we visited the primate lab at Holloman Air Force base as part of an anthropology class. The adult chimps were in cages that somewhat resembled human prison cells. I worked for a state prison for eight years. Not once did I see a look of hate in the eyes of a convict that could match what I saw in those chimps' eyes. Saying they looked soul-less like a doll's eyes doesn't begin to describe the creep factor. It was a look that makes your blood run cold enough to shoot that animal on sight with extreme prejudice, for sure.
