I get not wanting to through good money after bad, but at some point you have to either pay the price to be competitive or cut your losses. Maybe not... if he's still making a profit by being the worst team on the grid, I guess there must not be much of an incentive to forking out that cash.

That’s my read of it. Gene doesn’t have the cash to play at the upper level so he’s demanding more. Only problem is F1 isn’t really a do more with less game lol

Vowles sees something in him. Also Albon is really, really good. It's possible Sargeant is more than the sum of his parts. It's the only explanation I can think of because he certainly didn't get it done on track. I respect Williams for sticking with a rookie though, rather than just dropping him after 10 races.

I had missed that video.

Confirms Toto is a pos and that I respect horner more

This was before he forced td-39 to be introduced

To be fair, Nyck wasn't some wet behind the ears kid. He had too much experience to perform the way he did. Add that to the fact Horner didn't want to give him the seat in the first place. I could understand Williams getting rid of Logan after last year, but I'm glad they didn't. If he gives the same performances as last season, then he deserves his walking papers.

Letterkenny | Well..to be fair

Interesting comments from Gene Haas on the group who bought into Alpine.

If there are shitty strings attached, walk away.

“We have had outside investors come in, and they wanted to talk to us,” Haas said.

“They expect a 15 per cent rate of return every year. Give me a 15 per cent rate of return and I have a couple of hundred million dollars I’ll give you! They have high expectations, they have all kinds of rules.

“What their job is – they want to buy into you and, five years later, they want to make a $100m profit.

“Quite frankly, I don’t need that kind of oversight, from people who come in with $200m – it’s not enough to entice me to do that.”

No the FIA took their marching order, td-39 was introduced and Ferrari was fucked.

Even Newey recently admitted that the f1-75 was superior to the RB-19 in fast corners (which later became f1-75 and SF-23 weak point) before the TD-39…

Fuck toto. At least in 2022 he deprived us of a great championship no matter how it could have ended.

We all thought that it could screw RB as well. In hindsight, we now know it didn’t and that was a direct result of development priorities. RB concentrated on control and then worked on dialing in downforce while everyone else was prioritizing downforce and then working on control (Mercedes being the biggest loser in that game).

Toto also took a ton a public shit for that charade.

Nobody likes it when teams try to compete via the FIA. Ferrari took a lot of shit when they pushed the FIA to sanction Michelin in 2003. It's not an exaggeration to say it won them that championship. It also led to terrible vengeance from Michelin (a French interest, remember) and resulted in 2005 when Ferraristone got dry-fucked by the tire rule changes.

It's shitty. Toto saw a way to try and leverage the governing body to reign in the field, and it backfired.

The Chrome logo on the wheels, once again, kills it. Get rid of those, and I like the basic orange, black, white scheme.
Not as good as their Monaco Gulf livery, but hey, money talks I suppose.

I just can’t get excited about a slight livery change. I mean, I get it. Down time, good coverage for the sponsors, but taking it to press releases quoting Brown as being “proud” are a bit much.

RB19 MOC for Lego by ddntube and I have the normal and US GP livery stickers coming from Steve Hall in the UK. The MOC instructions and parts list my kids gave me for Christmas, and since it was a giant pain to source the parts through bricklink, they gave me some Amazon gift cards, and I spent about $45 on parts, and $30 for the livery stickers.

Just need the livery sticker pack(s) to arrive to finish this one and the one I have left to assemble.

I got some pieces from LEGO here in the US, and some had to ship from Denmark (steering wheel and dark blue minifig torso). The wheel brows are "snowshoes" for the minifigs and I am supposed to get the remaining pair of those today from a bricklink vendor who lives in the same town as me.

Kind of a pain to assemble, most of the bricks I got through webrick.com (Chinesium) and there's a couple of single points of attachment, like the front wing, rear wheels that I will likely have to superglue, or I could do one as Checo's car and display it as crashed.

Weird pic.

It is a show car rear wing (not production spec) but they poorly chopped out the trailing edge.

My favorite part of the track has to be the three 90+ degree corners before the only straight, that will surely provide a great overtaking opportunity just like it did in Sochi...
