Yes, I customized mine hence the higher price tag. Just too thick of webbing, doesn't glide as effortlessly. Just feels like there's too much material/beef that gets in the way. The slings I posted are a good middle ground, not too light, not too heavy. I like a more sporty/tactical sling that feels almost weightless.

Don't get me wrong, I love BFG, amazing folks, great products. Their sling just wasn't my cup of tea. Other stuff from BFG, yeah, I love it.

Flatline Fiber Co.

Flatline Fiber Co. has become my go to for slings. Lightweight, well made, and low profile. The padded version is still low profile enough to easily stow to the rifle without getting in the way. Functions just like the BFG slings I used to use.

I literally just got a shipping notice for my second sling from him. No issues with the quality of the first sling but he is insanely long on production. Both times I thought I was buying something in stock.

I have 3-4 of the Citizen slings, and I think it is just fine..  It has the adjustment range for a typical rifle ; the sling isn't too wide or too narrow..    Just everything I need and nothing I don't.

I've tried pretty much all the slings over the years. I picked up the Citizen sling and it was too thin and narrow for my liking...

I snagged one of the GBRS slings used off the EE (The owner cut it down a bit) and tried it on my Air rifle I squirrel hunt with and really started to like it.

I found a second one on the EE and grabbed it for a lightweight A2 built.

While I still like and use the unpadded VCAS slings, the GBRS seems to have the right amount of padding and sling width and thickness. I don't know if I would have bought one new, but the EE price was good.

I don't normally like padded slings as they take up too much of the adjustment length (Looking at you Padded VCAS)

I don't think I've ever bought a sling new... always off the EE, slings are not something that people wear out.

probably noise, cost for one or two guns not a big deal but if you need them for a bunch it sure adds up, and a lot of people get rusted or stuck qd parts.  some of the reviews say its not a if but when it will fail.

and maybe because they have paracord not doing anything.
thinking of a contour sling for at least one rifle but they are kinda pricey.

I did buy a sylvan arms sling and the magpul rifleman?    that one is for my 10/22 though a few people say its too slick and the rifles like to slide off the shoulder way too easy.

With a non freefloated rifle do you really think there's a performance difference between using the sling swivel vs the fsb? Because there isn't.

If that was on a freefloated rail would you still make an edgy "JuST as GoOd" comment?

This is a thread on slings. Not freefloated rifles.

Been a steady MS4 user for a while now. It's not fancy these days, it's not the best at anything, but it does almost everything you'd need in a sling for it's intended use. Mine haven't seen a ton of abuse, but plenty of non abusive use and I've yet to find a reason I wouldn't just buy another one if the need came up. I have three right now and I might be adding another one soon.

This is a thread on slings. Not freefloated rifles.

I didn’t say anything about freefloated rifles, I made a comment in response to an individual that basically stated his $25 garand sling was better than any modern sling. Which is laughable.

You obviously agreed by posting your “work just fine” comment.  Which 03 Springfields and leather slings work just fine too.

If you want to use dated technology, be my guest. But to try and insinuate that 80 year old sling design is superior to modern tech is just false.

You can love your retro rifles and slings and iron sights… but we drive cars now instead of horses for a reason.
