I am convinced (and have been from before the election) that the Dem knew when they were forced to have Kamala as their candidate that they were going to lose.  They figured the best thing to do was purge the party of a lot of the loony left.  So, stuck with Kamala, going to lose, force her to have a weird dude like Walz as her running mate to seal the deal.

If they're playing the long game they could throw this election and keep their minions in line for the next four years. All they have to do is let Trump show his horrible personality to America and have themselves be the "adult in the room" and it'll be a hundred years before we see another GOP president.

If they can control their miscreants and stop the riots and burning they'll be well positioned by the next election.

When we elected Trump/Vance we elected two presidents. Vance will run in 2028 and win. I don't see any of those qualities in Waltz but then again I'm not a socialist.

The entire state of MN was red except the twin cities. Walz is a loser and Minnesotans hate him for the summer of love, his tax policies, and, last but not least, being "weird."

The ONLY reason I voted for McCain/Palin was because of her. That was truly the split that resulted in where we are today. McCain was the hold-over establishment, Palin was the prototype TEA/Populist candidate. Based on the popular vote for Trump and the losers over at the Lincoln Project without a home, it's pretty obvious who won in the end.

Walz may be the worse.

In 2000 Al Gore did win his home county in TN, but overall he lost the state and it's 11 electoral votes to Bush.

She needed him to work the cheat in PA.

He failed on the presidential election but may come through on the Senatorial election.   That said, the PA SoS is a GOPe guy and may work to boost McCormick through this mess.

The last time McCormick ran in the primary against Dr. Oz the previous D SoS did a lot to ensure he lost so it would be Fetterman vs Oz.  Then the state/national GOP did little to support Oz leading to Fetterman's win.

Yes, his pick was a microcosm of all that was wrong with Kamala's campaign.  Instead of picking a more relatable moderate candidate from a swing state, they pick another far left liberal who has no personality and doesn't bring them shit.

He would have truly boosted her campaign and could have been comparable to Vance but obviously from the leftist point of view.

The other issue with Shapiro besides needing him in PA is that he probably would have gone off script as he is not fully compromised like Waltz and Kamala.  He could have bucked the Obama system.

More importantly to me this election hopefully relegates Obama to the ash heap of history.

No wagering necessary as this is a discussion.  This was very early in my voting career (when I started paying attention a bit) and it was what I learned from my immediate friends. Apparently that's not the case nationwide and I've been educated by you and other posts. Thank you.

The only thing truly propping him and his ilk are those shit hole Hennepin, Ramsey, and Dakota counties.

On a side note, I can understand Olmstead going blue with Mayo Clinic and all the liberal elites.  What's with Clay and St. Louis counties that drive them blue?  Colleges?
