There's been a lot of "good enough" recently.
Meanwhile, I've been rebuilding the Mod 1 in what I've dubbed "Operation Perfection". Just got a HCS Douglas after about a 2 month wait. This thing will be as perfect as I can make it without a third pin. Final piece will be the reprofiled lower. What do you guys think? Hydramatic or Colt markings? |

I mocked one up using an RMR, but I'm not sure I'll keep it. The RMR is awkward to use since it's so high up.

Do I roughed out MK12 fake can today. Made the decision to thread it a little longer to allow for the different shoulders on the many barrels out there.
The fake can is 1lb 2.3oz and its 8.600 in length. The real one that I own is 1lb 5.5oz and it's 8.870 in length. I made a booboo on the face and decided to just go with it. I really did this for guys who want one that can be shot from. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |
