Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown on bronzer

POV

Leroy's multiple personalities

PA micro dot and a Fiberlite stock for a lightweight carbine

FireField  1x6 and STR for percision work. Now I just need a Larue mount.

Nothing out matches BB it is it's own animal.
Black and FDE goes with it nicely. I would like to see it with some OD.

Who makes that upper/lower? Never saw anything like that, looks sweet.

The upper receiver is a Spikes Biohazard and the lower is Seekins Precision.

Handguard/rails/barrel? The best AR ive seen to date

Still saving up some money for an optic for this one, and I'm still waiting for my front sight to get back from GG&G.

Sorry about the crappy quality of pics....

I forgot to make mention of the finisher, Dynamic Finishes in Lees Summit MO did a great job with short turn around.
This is a real Cerakote Burnt Bronze, my pictures just are crap!  I still can't find any FDE magazines, except some high dollar FN Scar 16 mags that didn't match anything else on the gun.  FN's FDE is pretty dark, almost a Coyote Brown.

Right yes, let me translate for you, of all the ar's in this burnt bronze thread, those sbr's furnishing spikes biohazard billet uppers parked epically atop a seekins sp 223 are among the highest in quality and my personal preference in style by far. They are Lamborghini's in comparison to fords...

The pictures don't do either color real justice. I like the darker color a lot.

I wasn't exact but it was pretty close to 9 to 1, 9 parts burnt bronze to 1 part graphite black.

It's a pretty unique color, I wished I would have use a 8 to 2 ratio and I just might try it in the near future.

The dark bronze does have a more matte finish. My regular burnt bronze gun isn't glossy by any means but mixing it with black definitely changes it appearance.

I was scared to take the "Risk" mixing my own, I have seen a "Midnight Bronze" on youtube that I like really well but he would not tell me how he made it.  Too much effort to get Cerakote rite to have to do it over again LOL

My first Pistol Build. The CAA Saddle is just mocked up I haven't decided if it will stay or the rifle buffer for that matter.

Seekins Precision SP223 Lower
American Spirit Arms Side Charging Upper w/bolt
Marks Armory 10.5" Stainless Steel 1/8, 300 AAC Blackout barrel
Troy Alpha 11" Battlerail w/flip-up sight. The sight just touches a KX3 Pig whereas without sight no problem.
KX3 Pig muzzle brake slightly machined to fit the rail
Troy rear BUIS FDE, I think I should have gotten black
Burris Fastfire II in a ARF mount, Can't decide to keep it for go with a T1 or a Eotech 300 XPS, decisions, decisions!
Burnt Bronze Cerakote
Generic LPK
Rifle buffer and tube
CAA Saddle mocked up over some 550 paracord.

Squid grips for the battlerail in the mail.

The standard bolt release Seekins sends will not work with the ASA side charging upper without some machining, it's a fatty. I just pulled the one out of the LPK and used it.

DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT! thumb the bolt release with the side charging handle to the rear of the bolt release, i.e. bolt locked back and the handle not forward of the bolt release! Slap with the palm of your hand.

DO NOT! I repeat, DO NOT! Ask me how I know this!

Going up to the range in a bit to feed it some handloads.
