Yes, I know it's not a "Mk18" but it is .mil issue.

Nothing wrong with bad levers....I hear all the operators in Arizona run them

I heard all the navy mechanics love them. I've never owned one though. But then again I don't "operate" in Arizona.

Geissele went into the Colt lower this AM (top). I know the Noveske lower one isn't a clone, but two guns are better than one right?

You wont bring yourself to build a 458 PDW unless they issue one and you can clone it.

Sad but true on both counts.

Those guys better shoot nose over dust cover if they intend to get a sight picture with where those Elcans are mounted.

I do enjoy a nice wiener every now and then. I had two big wieners this morning for breakfast with eggs. Delicious.

Yeah, that's the bad thing about Elcans......well, that and their cost.   You damn guys got me all interested in MK18/CQBR and I go out and buy KAC iron sights, then I get an Elcan and sumbiatch......I need to remove the rear iron to be able to get a full field of view.  Need to do that if you want a fast/repeatable/full fov cheekweld.

Ok fellas...special mission. Anybody know a .mil dude named Ronald Pflieger? I bought an N1 stock with the following labels on it, "Pflieger Ronald" and a 4-digit code on the side and "01" on fwd, top of stock body. One Google search yielded this:

Command Sgt. Maj. Ronald Pflieger, U.S. Army Signal Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon command sergeant major, joins the Marines of the U.S. Marine Corps Detachment and Company D, Marine Cryptologic Support Battalion, in leading the formation of Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen assigned to the installation during the final lap of the 2013 Marine Tribute to the Fallen Nov. 7 on Barton Field.

May not be him, who knows. I'd like to give this back to the guy, if possible.  I guess I'll ask for the 4-digit code for proof.

Thanks!

I think I'm going to snag a TA01 NSN then eventually slap an RMR on it.

And if I trade the Eotech or Aimpoint in Wilcox or 99051 I may not have to add TOO much cash.

Yeah, I'd like to try one with better eye relief. TA01 kinda blows goats in that category.

Stoner mentioned eye relief/fov issues with the elcan. I wouldn't know, but wonder how they compare to TA01, TA33, etc.

The Elcan has slightly longer eye relief than the TA01/TA31.

The TA33 is an entirely different animal in the ACOG world...it has very long eye relief, and is hands down my favorite ACOG.

I have 7.5-moa Docter piggybacked on mine now. I don't have a lot of time on it, but seems versatile.

Thanks!

I wouldn't give it back to him, just because he annoys the hell out of me.

"Hi, I'm CSM Pflieger....." just about every two hours on AFN for like the last two years about recruiting for cyber network defender.....

I appreciate your input H1, annoying or not, the offer stands. I would think it would be a cool token, should the rightful owner collect on it. Maybe it will constitute a new clone for him. Hell, if I knew what carbine it was originally on, I might clone it if it's not claimed.

Who has a guess? Do you guys think it was on an M4, 733?

Be safe!

I went w/ a ta33 w/ green horseshoe. I know not clone kosher but it's on my go to rifle. The BAC works well with it also.

I have a 1720, but kinda wish I had a 1700 or maybe even (1600 I think?) to be a little smaller to lug around.

I finally got CONUS after being away for over two years, and I'm finding that it's almost like the odds are stacked against me building a CQBR the way I want to.

Installation regulations prevent me from owning any firearms or ammunition while I live on base, but I got in touch with some of the people from PMO and they said it was fine to have parts and basically anything that isn't a firearm, so I am probably going to start putting together a CQBR upper. I'm stationed in California anyway, so I really wasn't eager to put together some sort of neutered rifle with a longer barrel than necessary and a bullet button. Building the upper, which the most expensive part anyway will tide me over until I move somewhere more freedom-y.
