This is my favourite range gun. M65 police trade in. It's been shot a whole lot more than the condition might indicate.

Those Ahrends grips really "make" a gun, don't they?

I'm ordering two more sets next week.

Yep, although I'm partial to Spegels, too.
N frames just seem to work better with the Ahrends for me, though...

Two more, both recent purchases . . .

The first is a fairly beat up M10 w/ a 3" barrel and a bobbed hammer. The trigger has been slicked up. Picked it up at a funshow for $200:

The second is a 3-inch barreled model 686, the CS-1 version, supposedly made for the Customs Service. I won't tell you what I paid for it. I passed on one about 15 years ago and have regretted it ever since:

No clean pictures, yet

Just picked up this S&W 442 yesterday. I just got back from the range where I ran 100 rounds through it. I would have done more, but thats all I brought, I should know better

Thanks, and yeah, pretty much. I don't know if I'll ever give it back...

I talked my dad into buying a M442-2 at the funshow last weekend, and I traded him. So I've got a black one, now.

How's this for a hand cannon of minuscule proportions?

That's right boy's, it's a 38S&W.  A powerhouse if you will.   Five rounds of 146gr round nosed lead that moves fast enough to catch most three legged dogs.
Go ahead, take a minute to wipe the drool away.

My Model 57 found at a Cabela's.  Wife asked me if I wanted it for Christmas, hmmmm, did she have to ask?  $425 out the door.  Believe it's a 68 vintage.

Any discoloration is oil, it's very minty except for the cylinder latch ring around the cylinder.  I only found out after getting it that the serial number was semi-special as are the grips.
