This would be nice.  Like what Vector Arms/Kelly Enterprises did several years ago.

Put on a longer flash hider, carbine buffer tube and a Magpul MOE stock and that would become very popular.  I would keep the heavy barrel profile.

Installation of fixed magazine catch, grip fin, etc at your location to comply with Illinois’ new AWB.
SBRs are OK but these aren’t anymore.

Really? Keep the H-barrel? For recoil reasons? I never shot one, so I needed to ask. I would have thought one would want to keep the weight down.

I believe it would be a bit more accurate.  That said its definitely not a deal breaker.

Why in gods name would you put a heavy barrel on a SBR?

Who is shooting groups on paper with a 12” .308?

The whole point is to get a small, lightweight rifle.

Putting a HB on a G3K for better accuracy is like how the original JLD PTRs were with their “improved” chambers and flutes for “accuracy”.

Just bring the G3K. All it needs is a sling.

I'd give them a second chance and consider one of these, if they can figure out how to ship guns with an acceptable bolt gap from the factory

Ran mine again at a local 2gun match. Swapped back to the factory flash hider. Does an amazingly good job.

I wonder what the pricing will be like on these, but if it’s not outrageous, I’ll be looking to pick one up.

Would it be possible to pay a premium for a K3P that is modified to be for sale in Illinois?  I have been waiting for several years for a K3P.

I would happily pay several hundred dollars more if the K3P would be available with modifications.

A fixed, non removable magazine and a Californian style pistol grip delete would be worth the money for me. But a there an FFL I could send it to for them to do?

Glad to see this getting closer. And that price is pretty close to previous cost I think, and way better than the secondary market listings after PTR stopped production.

Ohh man.. I hope you can get the wide handguard as an option. Especially when the 7.62x39 becomes available.

Can you mount regular claw mounts over the pic rail? Got really excited when I saw this thread but was hoping it wouldn’t have the welded on pic rail.

The regular PTR91/G3 collapsible stock would work. You do not want the PDW stock as the rifle will not function reliably with the PDW retractable stock.
The PDW stocks will only work with PDW 8.5" barrel guns.

There's a sticky on which stock configurations work and which won't work and some of the confusion about PDW stocks/recoil assemblies that started with my question on that point.
ETA: Sticky

You might consider putting a M4 buffer tube on it along with a Magpul CTR or the Sphur stock. Not the HK "look" but much better for shooting.
