Never take life for granted. Because regardless of how long you think you have, you just never know, and we're all going to die one day.

Pancreatic cancer took my uncle, it’s a tough road to take home.

I have many fond memories of watching jeopardy with my grandad |

Dang. Somehow I just assumed Alex would always be there. My grandfather watched it religiously and it’s something I’ve done myself off and on through the years. I hope somehow he can be healed.

Fuck Cancer!
I wonder what Alex is going to do! Guess we will have to wait and see if he fights it or it is too late. The fella hasn't looked well for the last 10 years. |

RBG had a rare form of it, that was very treatable. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly forms of cancer. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

I worked with a guy who had pancreatic cancer. He always knew he was going to get it because many in his family had died from it and he had the genetic marker.
Week before last, he was supposed to get the results of some tests that would tell what he was in store for him. Apparently, it wasn't good. When he got home that evening, he just decided to finish himself rather than fight any more. |

Not a fan of him but don't hate the guy either.
Fuck cancer ! |

Is it wrong that the first thought which entered my mind was “ I’ll take join the freaking crowd for $1,000 , Alex”?
<——-has prostate cancer, is developing a twisted sense of humor Prayers for Alex! I’m thankful I don’t have pancreatic cancer or something worse, very thankful! |

I too have watched that show starting with my grandfather when I was a boy. So sad that the good people seem to get hit with this stuff more often than the assholes.

I assume he will be heading back to Canada ASAP to get some of that high-quality socialized medicine. No reason to stay here in the US, with our vastly inferior system.

You could go get a CT for giggles like RBG did, if you're actually worried about it. It worked out for her. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I have a feeling this is what I'll die from if it isn't from something violent Seems like so much of this shit could get caught early if that happened. ETA: After seeing what my mom went through if I am diagnosed with stage 4 anything, I am probably forgoing treatment and making good with what time I have left. They told her a year without treatment, 2-3 with. Chemo was so hard on her she didn't make it a year and most of that year was miserable. |

I went to college with a gal that was diagnosed and died two weeks later. She had just gotten married.

Yeah, ABCNews said there are over a thousand trials going on in the US just for pancreatic cancer. He's got a fighting chance! View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Always enjoyed his show. Wouldn't be the same without him. My work partner was diagnosed 14 months ago. Stage 4, metastasized in liver and several lymph nodes. He's almost in remission now, after a year of chemo, irradiated liver and part of his pancreas removed. Oh yeah... FUCK CANCER! |

The Whipple Procedure, a surgery to remove part of the pancreas, gall bladder, stomach and small intestine, might buy his some time. View Quote |

I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about a year ago. Turns out they were wrong. It was a rough 3 months or so. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/autoimmune-pancreatitis/symptoms-causes/syc-20369800 |

Horrible news, he IS Jeopardy.
Like a lot of other posters, I started watching it when I was a little kid with my Grandma every night. My daughter is a little over 2 now, and she watches it every night with us, even if she has no idea whats going on. I have videos when she was barely crawling, to crawl/walk, to now walking and she always dances to the theme song and says "Jeopardy time!" |

There was a video of him on the news this morning. Alex said something like "I'm going to continue working because I love the show, I enjoy working, blah, blah... and I am required to work for three more years due to MY CONTRACT... "
He really stressed the words "my contract". Like wanted to get out of his contract, but couldn't really say that. Here ya go. A Message From Alex Trebek | JEOPARDY! |

Trebek, much like Sajak, seems to have a good head on his shoulders. I don't think he leans to far either way.
