Quoted: P320 M17 because it’s what I have. Realistically though, I’d be happy with any reputable full size 9mm with a handful of mags. Picking a Glock because “parts and mag availability” is kind of lame in my opinion. Sure, it’s a fine choice, but not for that reason. If S actually HTF, I doubt anybody would be able to realistically wear out parts or mags on a sidearm where that’s a serious concern. View Quote You might need to traverse places that will put extra stress on an open-carried gun. Climbing around ruined buildings, wading through a flooded basement, crawling through rocky debris (to avoid detection and/or hunting), bumping against doorways- all of these things can damage and degrade a handgun and mags over time. It's not only about how much you might shoot it. |

Quoted: I have over 3k rounds through my SP01 and it's just as reliable as my Glocks. Have you ever experienced these CZ breakages or just read about them.? View Quote Trigger springs are a weird one. They seem to either break at 500 rounds, or you never have issues with them. Supposedly this has been fixed, but I still don't trust them. I also hate taking the damn things apart, they are too complicated for what they are and like to shoot springs off into orbit. There are probably a bunch of sear springs and firing pin stop springs in the carpet in my shop. An actual Tennifer finished Glock would be an easy choice for durability over anything else. |

Quoted: I used to shoot them competitively, and I own a bunch. Slide stops will last probably 10-20K rounds depending on what you are shooting, its not really an issue, but it is a failure point. or suppressed .22 or Deagle .50 wif beamz The OP specifies that you have a long gun meaning that the pistol will be a backup/secondary weapon. In that case I would not default to a full-size pistol and would prefer to carry something lighter and less bulky. I don't mind fixing them when they go down but they definitely need a backup moreso than autos imo. I could ride the river with a 66,65, or m19 |

I have a 10mm Dan Wesson 1911 Valor (the original Valor) so fuck it I'm going out in style.

The same Glock 19 I carry every day, along with some 33 rd stick mags in my pack.
If it must be "full size", then Glock 17.3, just because I already have one. |

All the weight and extra bulk for something of marginal utility? I guess a P229 or G20 just for the capacity if it was some kind of ad hoc state militia requirement.
Probably wouldn't take either on my own, my P938 would go as a "surprise motherfucker" backup. |

Glock 45 w RMR and suppressor, 24 round magazines, surefire w IR and Visible laser.

Yet another vote for a P226.
I reckon there will be plenty of Glock loot drops if I wanted to go that route. |

my usp9 with rmr rds or g19x
realistically though I will be a warlord so i would use a gold plated desert eagle for appearances... |

I'm going with my tried and true G19. I know it's not full size, but I'm either needing it for concealment or don't want the weight when I'm also carrying a rifle.
It's what I know I can shoot. If I had a choice and it were a pickup of only full sized guns, then I'll go with a G17. I want the 19, though. |

Extra water or rifle mags
I’m packing a small pistol that I can conceal if at all. |

Looks like glock is top pick so far and beretta is second. Sig for third maybe
