I’ve LONG since moved on...... Hell HK released a semi version that’s available NOW.

All things MP5 are a yawn fest for me. I just dont get it. I mean, if the design was so good why did HK stop making it? I carried a few different models for some considerable time overseas and hated every single time I had to use it. Given that, bravo to PSA for trying and bringing so much goodness to so many. View Quote Due to this, the MP5 is an expensive gun, whereas the UMP is dirt cheap to produce. Better profit margin for HK to discontinue the MP5 and sell UMP's. It sucks ass compared to the MP5... But both are being phased out and replaced with compact 5.56 rifles, so it's kindof a moot point. Very few are going for a dedicated SMG or PCC when a 10" 5.56 or 6" 300Blk can be had cheaper, and with far superior performance. |

That’s probably all we’re getting. And they’re going to be key chains. In a palmetto bag. With a palmetto sticker. Or PSA has already figured out the design to function properly. Sold it to HK for $500 and HK is selling it to us for $2700 ![]() View Quote I love PSA and am rooting for these (and their AK74) but that was funny |

Quoted: Agreed. They just did the AK and posters here were bitching about "How dare they put their logo on it!" and "Where is muh MP5?!?!" Likely to hear logo complaints about this one too. That is rich. Palmetto has has shared more 2A love and kindness to us with their products tha HK ever did. I've no desire for an MP5 clone, but if I did, I'd insist the PSA logo is prominently displayed on it. View Quote |

A properly stamped, welded upper with trunnion would sell like hotcakes. Guys could do an MP5, a stretch, a carbine etc on it.

Still waiting patiently on the PSA-5. But just make a roller locked upper that would work with existing AR lowers and I'll buy 10 ![]() View Quote Its not on the market yet, but here's what you're looking for. I'm kind of curious about it myself. https://angstadtarms.com/mdp9/ |

I'm kind of curious about it myself. https://angstadtarms.com/mdp9/ Lol, I mean I'm not expecting $299 daily deal uppers or anything silly. I'd really like under $750, but would go to maybe $1000 for a quality upper if it was really nice. $2600 for a pistol build is a bit steep for me. I know, I'll wish in one hand and go be poor elsewhere ![]() |

I agree with those who state this came too late. Right now you can spend about $2300 for a real HK or just under $1700 for a PTR. Both are known to be reliable and durable. How is PSA going to compete? They if the price is close you'd be foolish not to go with a brand with a longer track record in stamped roller delayed rifles. So PSA will have to complete on price. But can they make a good gun for a price low enough to get people's attention? My guess is no.

I have a strange feeling this is going to actually be the year they debut it.
I also think they took this long to make sure it’s right. It would be hugely disappointing if they took a mulligan out of the gate. |
|
Gave up, bought a PTR 9C. But now that I’m having fun with it I bet a K would also be a lot of fun. Might still be in for one.

1) My prediction is that they're teaming with Magpul for this, or they're at least involved. I'll assume that most will be sold with a Magpul trigger housing and forearm. Just makes sense as a cost saving measure and not having to deal with manufacturers also making parts for companies like PTR and HKParts.
2) Probably have more limited release of "Classic" style with a traditional trigger housing and/or traditional wide MP5 forearm. 3) Step up dream would be Magpul MP5 mags in 9mm with BHO and BHO on PSA5, but compatible with standard MP5 mags but BHO won't work with them. @PalmettoStateArmory how'd I do? 50% off coupon for one if #1 is right??? ![]() |

Magpul MP5 mags would be pretty awesome. Thinking $20-25 MSRP if they did. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Why would they have it take Scorpion mags?
I hope you're speculating. |

If psa could actually release something instead of just reposting vaporware every shotshow that would be awesome.
