Pre-1975, any mod you want, money is no problem, BUT IT MUST BE YOUR ONLY DAILY DRIVER.   What would you choose and have built to your spec?  Note ONLY daily driver.

70 AAR Cuda, Limelight color with a Scat pac 6.4 liter and a 6 speed manual. Resto-modded with a good road course suspension and brakes.

Oh. And R-12 A/C system with a slow leak and 100lb’s of refrigerant in my garage

The highway I take to work is the worst pile of shit road there is.  If I took my C10 on it I'd probably have all my teeth rattled out and a concussion.

I would just finish my '72 Cutlass Supreme that I've been building for drag and drive events since Hot Rod Drag Week first came about.  *sigh*

I have a '67 Mustang at the shop right now, maybe 6 weeks from completing a frame-off restoration. I'll drive that car at least every other day once I have it back.

Considering I live in VT on a farm. I guess I'm stuck with a truck because I need a truck regularly.

So whatever 67-72 K35 will do. We've had so many muscle cars over the years. Always wanted a 55 or 62 chevy.

For mods I'll take  mechanical 5.9 cummins nv4500 trans and an exhaust brake I guess.

I'm retired and most of my driving is around town, so a mid-'50s Nash Metropolitan would be ideal for my purposes.

A friend's parents had one and that little thing was a chick magnet. It had a peppy 1,500 cc 4-banger coupled to a 3-speed manual transmission. Initial reviewers were "pleasantly surprised" with by performance and handling capabilities.
It also got around 30 MPG, and this was when gas was around 25 cents/gallon.

I need a truck bed and 4x4 regularly, so '72 Ford Highboy.

Completely redone suspension/lift for a decent ride with rear airbags, and a 6.7 Cummins/G56 powertrain

37" tires and 4.10 gears, interior upgraded with bluetooth/hands free calling and decent speakers.

I'd drive the hell out of that

I could "settle" for a Bullnose Jeepster Commando with a 304.

Dream daily driver? Subaru WRX 2007 model with a 2.5L DOHC and secondary oil cooler upgrade

Sorry, not sorry - AWD goodness and 20MPG+ is what I consider a "daily driver". But I prefer the manual transmission - autos are for lesbians with colored hair.

That ain't pre-75, and that bullnose bed and those wheels make it look like garbage.

I did that with my 75 BMW 2002 for a decade.

Don't get me wrong is was a beast of a car but living here without AC just sucked sweaty balls in the summer.

A longnose 911S with AC would make me go back but I really like modern cars,  my wifes Turbo Macan is about as good as a daily could be,  the ride is perfect,  semi quick,  comfortable and quiet.

My old deuce.

I love muscle cars and hot rods, but I'm old enough that I don't want that stuff for a daily.

I'd go for a bigger, sporty model like a Torino or Satellite, or maybe even a full-sized car like an Impala.

Modern FI engine with OD trans, air conditioning, power accessories, and a nice stereo.

Did older European cars (that weren't Rolls-Royce) even come with air-conditioning?  Because I'm with you, on its necessity, living here next to Satan's Nutsack 7-8 months out of the year, and I don't think the first 930s came with a/c.  Or the 3.0 CS BMW.

So, let's make it an early 70's Rolls (I've actually driven one of those) that's got a 440/455 kind of motor, A/C!!, and is basically like driving your living room around.  With "ride", ground clearance, and speed.

And probably 12 mi/gallon if I'm lucky.  Oh well.
