A gun I can conceal in a back pocket.  A real mouse gun.  Are there any made that you would trust your life with (because it functions every time)?

NAA?  Seecamp?  Magnum Research?  I'm looking at the .32acp and perhaps a .380 if it's small enough.

I have a NAA in .22 mag. Its a mini revolver

Think its called the pug.

Always has went bang for me.

Accurate to around 7 yards.

Not sure I trust it for anything other than carrying it in places where I absolutely cannot carry

I rarely carry it, its more of novelty to me

What about that beretta curve thing with the pocket clip like a knife? It's a .380.

ETA: oops, my bad, it's a Taurus, this thing. Probably junk.

Honestly, I have a beretta 950 jetfire that is accurate as all hell and has functioned 100%.  .25 ACP, so make 'em count!

That's pretty big compared to others.

Using this chart as a guide.

sounds crazy but my Taurus TCP .380 has been 100% thru several hundred rounds. it has a better trigger than the LCP and is so light and small it disappears.

Plus you can find them fir around $200 easily.

I used to have to LCPs and got rid of them.  Replaced them with BG380 and we love them.  It isn't the smallest but the smallest I'm comfortable with.  Runs like a top also.

Just bought a Walther PPK/S from a member here and it seems very reliable.

I've got one of the NAA. .22 mags. Great gun, but as stated above, it's for times when I can't carry any other gun.  Single action in a very small frame.  More of a novelty.  It has always gone bang, but I can't imagine working the action during high stress.
I just recently picked up a Bodyguard .380. That one is pretty small and very concealable. I went to Lowe's today with it in my back pocket in a pocket holster.  Easier to shoot than the NAA and has a few more rounds.  So far I really enjoy it.

Love my Kahr 380.  It's been 100% reliable.  It's  easy to shoot fairly well compared to other small 380's I've had.

This.  You should try one.  I have a Mr Mika pocket holster and it fits nicely even into jeans.

Is a reliable pistol after break in.  Let me throw this in.  You need to do the recommended break in from Kahr with this pistol.  Only after that did it function 100%.  Before that had several feeding issues,  but after that, not any issues.

For mine, I just took it out day 1 and put 300 rounds of WWB through it.

Slicked it up nicely.

I've had or have couple mouse guns that have been 100% reliable.

Seacamp 32
I carry it in my pocket everyday from when I get dressed to undress to sleep.
Not the easiest pistol to shoot due to it's small size but it 's doable.
I've only shot Winchester Silver tip ammo in it but it's been 100% reliable.

Beretta 21 in 22lr
It was a great little pistol and 100% reliable with CCI Minimag solid ammo.  It was easy to shoot multiple targets very fast with it and I liked the DA trigger action.  I just didn't feel comfortable with the 22lr caliber and liked 25ACP even less.  I sold it to get a Beretta Tomcat 32ACP but it was too damn heavy.

Jenning 22
Don't laugh but I had a Jenning 22 pistol that was 100% reliable with CCI Minimag ammo.  I got it back in 1982 for $79 from a hardware store and I had it for over 15 years. It was my only gun while I was going to college as I had sold everything off to pay for school.  I used to carry it in my back pocket in a homemade leather pocket holster with empty chamber.  It finally developed feeding/extraction issues after about 15 years and 10k rounds later and found that the slide had cracked.

22 Mini Revolver
I have a North American Mini revolver in 22lr with 1 1/8" barrel.  It's reliable but very slow to get into action and very hard to hit anything beyond about 10 feet.  It's a more of novelty than anything else for me.

These days my pocket gun is a S&W 642 in 38 Special.  Kept loaded with 158gr SWC-HP +P ammo it's got some fierce bite...at both ends.  I carry it in my right side front pocket in a leather pocket holster...plus the Seacamp in the left pocket.

I have a stainless slide Ruger LCP that has been completely reliable for severa hundred rounds.  I'd approximate current round count somewhere around 250 - 300, having gone through at least 5 boxes of factory ammo, plus some carry rounds.   I gave it a quick cleaning after I bought it and it has been chugging along since round 1.

Since .380 ammo was scarce when I bought it, my stockpile was a rag tag assortment of different brands, so it hasn't proved itself to be picky.  Right now I've laid in a few hundred rounds of Freedom Muntions reman, which I consider to be the bottom of the barrel in plinking ammo so that will be another test of reliability I'm expecting it to pass.

Trigger is okay, sights are almost nonexistent, but it is reasonably accurate, certainly accurate enough for the ranges it would be employed.  If I put 50ish rounds through it during a session the takedown pin starts to back out, which is a known issue and will be fixed when I get around to ordeirng a Galloway Precision upgrade.  I don't consider this to be a real-world issue, only a range issue to watch for.  The 6+1 capacity +6 more of a reload I carry are not enough rounds to cause the pin to move.

I would recommend considering an LCP. Mine has been 100% reliable.  There is a log by lazyengineer in the Ruger pistols forum where he documents a lemon he bought, but Ruger eventually made it work.  As long as an LCP is in spec, I see it has a very reliable pocket/holdout pistol.

Recommended a AMT Backup 380 with a wallet holster to a friend.  It made for a very fat second wallet and went bang every time.

ATF decided such wallets + gun were gadget guns and subject to NFA.

Subsequently, back pocket seems less practical in my mind vs a front pocket j-frame or Seecamp in a Nemesis (depending on clothing / size)

I have Beretta 22 that's dead nuts reliable as long as it's clean. After about six or eight mags it gets a little sticky but for a one time use defensive gun I'd trust it.

Gotta second this, though I'd prefer to carry darn near anything else.  I would probably try to tote my Mauser HsC or Sig 230JP in .32 first.

ETA:  Before they changed the regs and said no more than one backup allowed, during Mardi Gras I used to tote my regular .38 on my ankle as backup number one, and the Beretta 950 in my back pocket as backup to the backup.

Mine too, I love it.

I was out having drinks with a buddy, bar hopping in a little town a couple years ago, and realized I had the damn thing in my jeep. I didn't want to leave it because I had the soft top on, so I put it in the breast pocket of my TNF fleece hoodie. Bringing a pistol into a bar in WA is a no-no, but then leaving it in an unlocked vehicle is too.
First thing my fire fighter buddy does (after explaining my predicament to him) was walk me up to a bunch of cops he knows and introduce me.  Mother F*%$#! No one noticed, or if they did they didn't care, one of them bought the next round and we took off after a few beers, but damn I was sweatin it for a few minutes, I thought for sure I was going to print, but it never happened.

Anyway, it's small, fairly light, but not so much that it's snappy & it doesn't feel like a toy. fits in pretty much any pocket.

I've carried a P-32 nearly daily since 2003 or 2004 I think - about a decade.

It had some trouble with the first box of shell I put through it. I took a Dremel and polished the feed ramp, and haven't had another issue since. I've probably put 5,000 or more rounds through the gun without so much as a hiccup.

If I were buying today, I'd probably get a Ruger LCP. It's the same damned gun, with better fit and finish.

My father pocket carries the Ruger LCP 380, has since it came out.

I'm guessing he has between 300 and 400 rounds thru it, and I've never seen it malfunction. He's never said it has and he's the type that once a gun begins to act up on him, he gets rid of it.

For years he only carried a Ruger SP101 because all his autoloaders would have issues from time to time. Things I diagnosed as either mag related or ammo related. But he simply no longer trusted the gun.

So for him to carry the LCP speaks volumes about it.

At this point of     current  small arms  development, with full power, but very small 9mm Luger pistols,  there is  damn slight reason  to  carry  a .380
