At one time I thought Pia Zadora was the worst. Maybe I was being unfair, but her performance in the classic The Lonely Lady pretty much cemented it for me.
But then last night.... Mrs Rabinowitz and I came home last night from ballroom dance lessons. One of the dances was the Bolero. It is a beautiful dance. Which reminded me that the Award Nominated actress Bo Derek starred in a movie of the same name......Bolero.....and that I had never seen it. We found it on either Prime or Disney+, maybe. Maybe we'll see some good dancing. I knew going in that it was going to be bad. It's pretty much soft porn. And looking back, creepy as all get out. Her husband, John Derek, essentially pimped her out for a string of soft porn and Playboy shoots after he took up with her when she was 16. Bolero followed the beloved Dudley Moore movie 10. Lordy, what a bad actress. Combined with the excretable plot, editing, and script, even her frequent and nearly all-encompassing nudity could not save it. About 15 minutes in I asked Mrs R if we could watch something else. No, she said, you get to sit through this stinker. By the end I was falling asleep. The only dancing was horizontal. Other than 10, the only other BD movie I had ever seen was a Tarzan flick in the very early 1980s. All I remember from that was a silent Tarzan, a dead elephant, and a tribe of pygmies finger painting Mrs Derek pretty much all over. I vaguely recall that the movie was again, boring as shit. So then, who is your favorite really bad actress? Is it Gina Gershon (Showgirls), anything Reba McEntire did early in her acting career, or some other? Reminds me, I need to watch Tarzan again....if Mrs R permits it. |

Scarlet Johannson has never been hired for a movie because of her acting ability.

She is either really good at acting badly or just a bad actress who got the job because of ... well, I'll let you figure it out.

Did you miss the entire awkward bedroom scene between DM and BD? I haven't watched "Bolero", I figured it would be what you just described. As for bad actresses, there are new ones every year as others age out. They are hired because they look good on screen, not because they are convincing. Playboy had an entire crew churning out bad movies to employ any of their bunnies who wanted to star in a movie. Some even made the jump to legitimate film, and a few of those could act, like Kelly Monaco. |

View Quote Sandra Locke may have been one of the most homely, scrawney and unattractive actresses ever. I cant believe Clint even entertained the idea of banging her. To me, shes just repugnant. ![]() |

Traci Lords. (yes, she at one point had a real acting career. Sorta.)

Summer 1984, visited my cousins for the summer in Arizona, her show was on Friday nights. |

View Quote I believe we have a winner. Or loser, whatever. She was a horrible actress in every movie she was in. Mostly Eastwood movies, obviously. |

I realized the other day that I don’t even know who most actors are anymore. Same thing with athletes.
I don’t think I could even think of an actress that is “bad” because my mind wouldn’t keep track of that sort of information. I just don’t care. Closest thing I can think of is Hilary Clinton, I guess |

Quoted: Sondra Locke Never saw what Clint saw in her. View Quote Ha. I was going to post that too. Favorite, not in the sense that I liked her regardless of her acting talent. Favorite in that she was consistently bad in any movie/role she played. She totally ruined The Gauntlet and Sudden Impact. |

Pia Zadora married a multi millionaire that backed her movies, so I suppose that made her one very expensive bit of ass, but looking at her nude scenes was probably worth it.

No porn actresses belong on the list. They're all great actresses compared to mainstream hollywood actresses. Think Meryl Streep would still be a great actress with a dick stuffed in her ass?

View Quote @TwistedSister Oh, I am quite familiar with Ravel's Bolero. It is a great composition. I think I heard a bit of it in the background during the movie, but that and Bo's nakedness were the only good parts. The respected character actor George Kennedy was in it. Makes me wonder if he wasn't enjoying stuff on the side given the at least four nude women in the movie. Bolero became famous to the unwashed masses when the figure skaters Torvill & Dean skated to it at the Olympics many years ago. It was stunning. Torvill & Dean 1984 |

I thought BO Derek was amazing in her prime.
I went to the original showing of Bolero at the movie theater. I was in my twenties- the movie was so bad that me and my buddy walked out . That was the only movie that I walked out of the movie theater. She was great in 10 though!! I vote for Sandra Locke as the worst actress. She was horrible. |

Patricia Arquette was actually pretty good in True Romance...she's just overshadowed by all the other phenomenal performances.
