It would cost whatever your shop decides his fee should be. Some places will charge $100, some $50, etc.
Considering your local places are already quoting you MSRP, I think they're going to try and max you. 
ETA: All you're doing is F3'ing it to your local place (which takes a bit) and then you start the F4 once it gets there (which takes a longer bit) |

So, I tried bargaining with the shop, and basically just got an email back telling me they won't budge on that price - that, if someone else has it cheaper, I should get it from them because they're probably pulling my leg anyway. The guy was essentially telling me that $1100 for that can is too good to be true, and they're just using that price to lock me in while they "look" for it. Seriously, I'm about to give up on getting a suppressor. At least, locally anyway. |

My local place was doing the same to me. I got him down 10% below MSRP - and that was because I was active .mil at the time. And he kept trying to push AAC on me....which I didn't want b/c I have a SCAR w/ a pinned SF brake.
I found mine online from Weapons Outfitters and had it transfered in. Took longer but it was hundreds cheaper. ETA: Try asking around your HTF...they might have a good shop relatively close to you. Don't give up on the suppressor though - they're totally worth it. |

It's the same mentality about the shop that charges $650 for a Glock or $1700 for a Colt. Then they get upset and moan about the death of gun stores when people go online and buy it at a reasonable rate. With NFA, it's a little more selective/involved due to the hoops - especially with a F4'ed item. They think this gives them the right to demand exorbitant prices.

I had some requests for pictures. I had some requests for will it fit
kind of things. I apologize for the quality of the pictures, but here you go. The light is a 952V on the Haley mount. As you can see it will fit on the rail and the head will not hit the rail, no matter how far back you put it. Also, as seen here, the light does not interfere with a folding front sight mounted on the top rail. The KAC front sight takes up a lot of space at the front screw, and is probably wider then most rail mounted front sights. You can see the head clears the sight with no problems.    Also, I don't have a picture yet, but if you use the standard SF throw lever mount, and invert it so the throw lever is on top, and folds aft, it will also clear the front sight. |

Anyone else tried the SU-231 and not liked it? Im on the fence about it, granted I just bought it yesterday and have not shot with it but just playing with it i dont care much for the reticle. I liked my aimpoint alot more. Im going to go shoot tomarrow so I will know more then.

In mid daylight I can bearly see the reticle on its brightest setting is the main thing. Next it seems that the circle gets more in the way than anything, like I said I have not shot with it yet but those are a few points I've noticed so far/

It is way better than the aimpoint and for me it seems to be much faster. I can make repeated hits on a 10X10 steel plate @ 300 yards more consistently than I can with the aimpoint. Almost all of the shots with the eotech are hits. While I dislike the arms mount I can't say that I had any noticeable poi shift when removing and replacing it. If I add the magnifier I get a little more distance and the reticle does not get distorted like the aimpoint dot will. Even the 2moa dot on the aimpoint becomes distorted through the magnifier. On paper I am more accurate with the Eotech, and I believe I am faster at acquiring the target as well. I have 4 aimpoint micro's because I like the durability and battery life. |

Some shooters like the EoTech reticle, some the Aimpoint. Each side swears the one they like is faster. Probably, neither side is lying as long as you know they're speaking about their own experience and preference, which will differ from individual to individual.

Just got my barrel back from ADCO. Here is my block 2 next to my IN PROGRESS 1.5. Still need an M3X for both and MRD on the block 2 and SU231 on the 1.5 and they are complete for me.
Had them cut my 16in Colt M4 barrel to 14.7 and pin and weld the A2 on. I hate the look of the A2X so went with the 14.7. I figure im already a BLACK sheep might aswell be a little different

My RISII FSP arrived today. I think I may go ahead and convert my 1.5 into a full on block II. At the range, I kept burning my hand and arm on the hot barrel, and that never happens with my full length rail guns. However, no big worries because in about 14 business days, a new m4 upper will arrive and turn into a 1.5.
