i have hydro/MAP but it's pretty bulky so i might just get something small like an Armorbak.  other than that, i'm just waiting to snag a set of liberator iii's and i'll have all the goodies.  i was going to buy some TCI MASTs for the back, but i accomplished the same thing with the help of amazon and radioshack for far less cash.

Other than the Serpa holster- against which there are numerous documented cases of failure- your kit looks good. Minimalist, and it doesn't look like you gave in to any impulse to fill every bit of available MOLLE space. I'd consider a smaller dump pouch (or using a cargo pocket instead, like I do) and replacing the triple mag pouch with Esstac Kywi's.

What's in your med pouch?

I bought a few for shits and giggles no where near as impressive as you'd think. I suggest marine smoke grenades they pump out so much more smoke.

I bought them for emergency signal while hiking/camping/hunting by myself. The small ones definitely don't put out enough smoke for concealment.

I've enjoyed the set up so far. Though there are still a few more tweaks to do. Looking to hopefully grab some side plates, a TQ pouch or two, and eventually add a radio to this set up. But all comes with time.... and lots of money

Got my plates in today.

Quickly discovered that my previous choice of carrier, while economic, does not really quite work as well as hoped as the plates sit low in it.

I tightened the shoulder straps on that thing WAY the fuck up and it did not get very much better than whats in the picture. Any ideas on how to lift the plate, or is the best option to just buy a new PC?

ETA:

A closer shot with it tightened up even more. Still low, but at this point its near impossible to get off and on. Index finger is the point of my clavicle, middle finger is top of the plate.

A lot of us have had the same problem.

The best solution is to get some closed cell foam (like the stuff you get for making tool cut-outs) and cut it to a width that will lift the plate to the proper height, then tape it to the plate.

Not nit-picking, but the snaps on the HSGI bleeder are supposed to go through the holes of the sheers to hold them in. Nice set up.

I know, the snap is just stiff as can be and they stay put pretty good.

Only changes i foresee is going to two esstac double pouches on the front and moving the IFAK over to the flap.

I also have one of the buckles clipped and replaced with a G-Hook from SKD. It's very hard for me to should the rifle with the thick buckles.

Is the TT shingle loose enough to get the PMAGs back in one handed? I like the shingle idea but I can't seem to find one that allows that.

The only issue i have is getting the bungee out of the way, which isn't even that big of a deal. They usually slide right in without a problem. The TT triple was on the PC when i bought it. I'm probably going to get some kiwi pouches when i get the cash. I'm a fan of open top mag pouches, but since my rig rides around in a car or the back of an SUV most of the time the bungee retention works nice.
