Don’t let your dreams just be dreams. I’m stuck in between doing a Block 1 clone or going big for the MRE. Can’t afford the MRE without maybe selling an Accupower 1-8 I rarely use, don’t really like, but can’t seem to part with. Also can’t decide on using the Surefire M951 I have and putting the pad into a TD vert or buying another 660 and one of those sexy gangster grips. |

I’m curious to try a gangster grip. I already modified a weaver ring, just waiting on the other parts to filter in.

Upper should be here Thursday. Now the question is do I keep waiting for John Thomas to chop this Armalite tube or do I just take my time and try it myself and epoxy the endcap back on? Anyone have tips on how to cut fiberglass without it splintering (or is that not a concern)? Do I cut long and sand down to length?

Probably just run a fat bead of weld on it forward of the screw hole

A Mag-Lite, either Mini or C-cell, some MRE box cardboard to make a wedge to make it align somewhat with the bore of our M16A2, and some Hundred Mile an Hour Tape to hold it on was how we "poors" in the regular infantry did weapon lights in the early 90's. It would all be removed before turn-in to the arms room.
