Maybe not truly a M4gery, it does have a M4-profile barrel.

Funny I don't see anything fail about it.  I just see a pretty young lady and hopefuly and enthusiastic, new, life long shooter who just needs a little proper instruction on the handling of her new firearm.

Probably referring to the rifle itself.(specifically the bbl.)

While your observations are (or at least seem) correct, the MASSIVE fail comes from it not being an M4 as 1) it's a 16" barrel and 2) the barrel has no "M4" cuts for the M203. I don't find the first to be as much of a problem (although, it is a valid technical detail) but the second kind of is IMO. Hasn't this debate raged on throughout this thread?

eta: for the purists, those two have 14.5" barrels with the notch.

The 16" bbl is fine, it's just the lack of the "M4 cut" that make the gun not suitable for this pic thread.

You guys DO realize that a Grenade Launcher can be attached to this barrel right?

The guy running the lathe just went a bit wide on the notch...

I pulled the photo as to not offend the masses.  Got all warm in the trousers to share my 14.5" carbine and blatantly ignored the cardinal sin of posting midlength gas systems.  From the heart, I apologize.

Isn't that the canoe/truckbox gun? If so, you moved the light and what happened to the Krylon'ed reciever?

lol...ah....took me a second.  That's the gun "before" it became my kick around piece......there was approximately 3,00-4,000 rounds between that pic and the one that was kryloned!  Under every ugly krylon job at one time was a beautiful gun.  That pic you see is at least few years old now, not sure of it's age now really.  The upper is newer than the lower.  Bought it from USMC_03 actually.
