question about the gas block situation. might have been answered already, but i looked and didnt find anything.
on the blockII guns with the DD M4RIS II, how are the daniel defense low profile gas blocks attached? are they pinned?(meaning a third hole would be drilled on a perviously FSB scocom barrel), or are the just set screwed? maybe rockset? im having my socom barrels FSB shaved, as i really like the idea of the factory taper pins, just wondering how they are doing it on the actual gov. guns oh and can anyone tell me the product code for the MX3 light(the kit one) looking to get one from bear basin outtfitters and they have a few, just not sure wich one is the one im lookin for heres the link for them-http://www.bearbasin.com/insight-tactical-flashlights.htm any help would be appreciated |

I do have a 10 rounder as well you know. As for a Marsoc Clone, mine is a railed Colt, thought about it though, then decided I liked mine more the way it is. Those are quite nice though. |

Check out Bravo Company USA, I know they offer a 14.5" with the DD RIS II, but I think it may be midlength gas only. Not sure if they are in stock, but so far that's the only place I've seen with something close.

I hate to pollute this thread with piston talk, but is it possible at all to make a clone of this rifle with a piston system at all? I have researched the RIS, but it will not work with a piston as far as I know.
Again, I know that's not necessarily a 'true clone' of the rifle, but I'd like to follow the looks of the rifle as best as I can. |

The adams arms is pretty low. Snagged a 553 in tan today. Not a bad deal. I haven't had an eotech since the 512 I had 6 or so years ago. I'm hoping this one works better, as I couldn't stand the 512. If I don't like it, I know I could flip it and make $100 or so, guess can't be too upset about that. |

snagged a "black" ( sorry) 553 for 300 shipped last week ;) still has the Su-231 markings though
