Clear safe. Remove Upper from lower. You can drill the hole with the original diameter bit and the pin will fall out. Unscrew said muzzle device.

Just a heads up, I contacted DD about getting another RIS II to replace the one I had to let go, they gave me an ETA of late fall on having them available for purchase again.
Looks like my Block II build will actually get finished after all. |

Pretty much the only upper I have any kind of regret selling. Bummer. |

Thoughts on using a 4X ACOG for a Block II. I've got a T1 on it now but thinking about changing it up. Thinking either a TA31ECOS if I could find an anodized version, a TA31RCO, or a TA01NSN.

View Quote I've seen a NG team that had their Elcans turned in for whatever reason get reissued TA01NSNs for a deployment in Kuwait last year. I've also have a TA31 at home that may ride my RIS II. ACOGs are in SOCOMs inventory and do still get used. CD |

View Quote You'll probably find the TA01 slower at closer ranges due to the lack of fiber optics and how the reticle is set up. I think it really just comes down to personal preference; I like having a crosshair vs the chevron. The optics quality and toughness is exactly what you'd expect from any ACOG. |

ACOG is good stuff

I tried many optics in the b2 and my faveorite was the ta31.

I still haven't decided which camo pattern to rattle can my Colt M4 GenII buttstock, but I'm looking forward to it. I won't be rattle canning the entire carbine, it's all Colt, (if you have good attention to detail the grip is FNH made, with DD FDE Crekote to match the RIS FSP, I have the original new stock A2 grip; Cerakote may be in store for this entire carbine; DD FDE). That's a Comp M2 2x on top. Yes I know not blkII clone, but I returned my Eotech and I really love this optic, 2x magnification and no eye relief requirement, it's almost magical at close range you can keep both eyes open and at distance. I'm sticking with the pinned BCM A2X until I decide on a can; I honestly like the NT4 better than the blkII option... http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h145/SyPHERAO/MFOURAI.jpg Merry Christmas! Someone just sold a Ris ii fsp in FDE on the ee for $55. Idk if he knew what it was but it looks legit, helicoils are usually the giveaway.
It's labeled RAS ii lol wish I saw it in time. |

I just spent a truck load on my Ris ii. Mines in great shape though. No m203 hangers though.. but the markings match the one in the ee you mentioned with the strange part number ID. |
