Sand in Florida.

The nice thing is letting it cool down and not start a fire because of sand.
</a>

We ran variations of this bay. A bunch of pistol transitions, moving engagements, and cover shooting. Pretty fun.

Nothing crazy just mainly tacos and handgun.

I don't know what this is, but it's character I guess. I didn't burn anything on my gear, maybe another guy did when they shot it.

I always say I'll take better videos but I will try some later. H buffer helped, will try an H2 to fine tune it some more. No dead trigger/bolt bounce though outside after high round counts.

I was playing around with buffers in my rifle today and the extra buffer weight really does make a big difference.  With a carbine buffer the rifle (11.5 BCM) ran great on both semi and auto but when i put the suppressor on, it would only get one round out before a F2F.  Threw an H2 in and it ran like a champ.  I'm not a huge fan of how high the rate goes with the suppressor and need to figure out something to slow it down.  Let us know if you get a good setup going.

thornejc - Yeah I think the H2 will be really nice suppressed. The gas port helps a lot to just get the tuning started. Both my short uppers are cut down Colt barrels with spec sized ports.

Suppressor was pretty much dead cold when I tried to remove it. Wasn't too difficult to wiggle it the can off. I've shot like ~2K rounds through the suppressor now and haven't cleaned the brake.

Here is the rifle before I cleaned it since I'll be traveling to some shoots. It was getting a little gritty because of lack of cleaning and sand today. I cleaned it just because I'll be in Texas for a week in January shooting so I figured it would make sense to clean it now. I'll be in Austin for the the 4-6 of Jan if anyone wants to shoot or night hunt.

If I am posting too many repetitive shots let me know.

I would keep an open mind towards the Insight M3X.  I saw a couple go on e-bay for $250 with the double switch.  Deals on that light are much more common.

Just try to find an M3X with an LED head.  The older incandescent head leaves a lot to be desired.  Its better than nothing, but it wont replace any of the new LED white lights.

Can the head be swapped out at the user level?

Yep, its just the more expensive route to take.  Much easier to find one as a whole unit.
The way you can tell is; the incandescent head has a checkered(little squares) look to the head.
The newer LED head has stripes(straight grooves) on the head.

I tried the incandescent M3X for myself.  I removed a m300a from my CQBR for the M3X.  I quickly went back to the surefire.  Dont get me wrong the M3X looks badass on the CQBR, and I miss it because of that.  But I couldnt go from such a fantastic light down to the old M3X.  Think about mounting a maglight on your rifle....thats pretty much what it is.  It is cool though, especially with the dual switch.

Be careful though.  To add the LED head, you will easily end up spending more than a much better mini scout.

With the M3X

Lookin' good!

You might want to move the SU-231A back a little so it sits completely on the upper. If you have ever seen how much a gun flexes during firing in slow motion, you'd understand why a lot of people report a loss of zero when bridging an upper and a rail with an optic.

Why is it not on?!

ECPrevatte..........just picked it up this afternoon and can't get to my shop for a couple days. I need to break down the whole upper to replace the DD upper receiver with a new Colt upper. I went with the brake, which I have, just not installed yet. (will do that with the upper swap), and I have an adjustable gas block that I machined myself. (has .048 and .070 ports)
bending_rodriguez........I came home with the SF brake, so I'm not totally unprepared, It's not going to mount itself though, so I need to get to work.
PFran42...........thanks brother for pointing that out. I must be blind. I've looked at that thing a dozen times and wondered why it looked like it was so much farther forward than others I've seen. Daaaaa........it was.
I need to pick up a selector that has the "tick" on it for the right side, or an ambi selector.  Who's ambi is clone correct?

Finally got around to stripping the paint off that Diemaco Mk18 upper I posted a few pages back and converting it into a CQBR. Just picked up a Socom brake in the EE today so that will be going on as well. Currently trying to put the finishing touches on my trust and hopefully get my Form 1 out here soon. I am anxious already!

Dust cover is still being stripped
