  • Discontinued model

  • Didn't love it and didn't shoot it enough to justify keeping it

  • Figured I could use the funds towards another firearm purchase

  • The news around changes in accuracy in extreme temps had just dropped and I figured my odds of getting the best price for it were better if I acted fast and sold it before word got around

That'd be pretty awesome.  I wouldnt mind doing that either.  How much smaller than a Surefire micro is it?

Is something going on with USPS?  Seems like they're shitting the bed more than usual.

They are having major financial issues, and getting hurt by Fedx and ups.  I will get tracking info that says delivered, but won't see it for 2 days.

Uh oh, now you're going to be accused of some Arizona based conspiracy!

I've only noticed them drop ten percent or less. The tan EXPS3 can be had in the mid to high $400s if you shop a bit. 553s I haven't noticed.

This rifle is the one that convinced me to get a SBR.  Haven't had a chance to do a clone of it yet though.

And yes:

1.  I know, get a haircut hippy.

2.  My armor in back is a bit low.  It was setup for how I worked (flying), and it would shift up in my seat.  Plus I weigh about 40# less now.

Man from looking at prices I'll probably just build one.  A lot of them sell for much more than the sum of their components.

Looking fwd to your report. I've never used an ACOG, but have been seriously considering one. Maybe I'll have one by the time I get my AU SOCOM (hopefully March). Then it's Block II CQBR + SOCOM RC + ACOG = spring coyote gun .

Alpha squirrel, they're cheater devices, that's what. I ran one for a while in 2012ush, ended up trading it off because it was becoming a crutch, and I'd rather be able to manipulate a standard AR/M4 quickly if that makes sense.

Well, when I would be exchanging fire with Terry's, I will take any "crutch" I can get.

I bought it on 10/8, charged 10/9. Lea told me via email on 10/9 that they were sending a big batch of F3's on 10/15. I called on 10/19 and the gal on the phone said the F3s were indeed sent on the 10/15. That's all I got. I'm expecting a wait with all the rumors floating around.

Damn, bought mine on 10/1 and haven't been charged yet. Called them around 10/20 for a status and they said they haven't had a chance to send out form 3's due to the move, but they would send them at the end of the month. Maybe I'll have to check in again this week.

Edit: there was a thread about the AU SOCOM cans. Someone sent it to me in this thread, but I can't remember which page it was. Anyone have the link to the thread?

Nice! How do you like that MRO? I've been thinking about picking one of those up

Shooting the warden under a roof was definitely more pleasant than without it. My friend was separated by a wood wall and was able to tell when I switched rifles without seeing. He told me he appreciated if. From the shooters perspective I would say it's slightly less noticeable than he attested to which is to be expected. All in all, pleased with the purchase and the ACOG. Was consistently shooting sub 4" groups at 100" at a solid pace balanced on the mag. Not stellar by any means, but for a first outing and shooting the way I was ill take it.

Edit: there was a thread about the AU SOCOM cans. Someone sent it to me in this thread, but I can't remember which page it was. Anyone have the link to the thread?

Looking fwd to your report. I've never used an ACOG, but have been seriously considering one. Maybe I'll have one by the time I get my AU SOCOM (hopefully March). Then it's Block II CQBR + SOCOM RC + ACOG = spring coyote gun .

Did you get charged for your SOCOM yet? They told me October orders should have form 3's sent out at the end of October, but I haven't been charged yet.

I ordered 8/6 and was charged 9/18 I think. It's in jail now.

I also ordered a SF scout light like 3weeks ago. After not hearing from them I asked Leon if he heard anything and he said they weren't in stock and were waiting for a shipment. I wonder if some of the cans ordered weren't stocked and that's why it's taking a long time. Just my thoughts.

I assembled one new one. Still have one more to finish building.

I have a few 80% that are engraved.

I know. I have a barrel for it, but I'm going to sell that upper I think.

I want FDE rail and to make it actually Colt parts. All the other uppers are all Colt but that one.

It was so pure.

I had a feeling that was your motive as to why the 14.5 wasn't already installed. (Because of the black RIS II)

I miss my FDE RIS II, but the black replacement is good enough for now. And honestly my nearly finished Colt standard issue M4A1 build currently has 100 percent of my attention.

One handred percent. Can't wait to get that bitch finished.

You're probably right. I was expecting it to be a mess going into it, but the price was so good that I was willing to deal with the bullshit.

Thanks for the link. Subscribed this time.

Yeah it's a tradeoff w/ getting it quick or saving a good bit, so I went ahead w/ it. And they got me again w/ the light
